I was wondering the same thing. I used to do it in After Effects, but they removed the feature in CS5.

Been looking for a good one myself.

Most likely going to end up with Ulead gif animator.

I tried that one. Its not very easy to use and its fussy about the type of videos you can use. Matter of fact I couldn't get it to accept any type of video format.

It's still PHOTOSHOP or FIREWORKS. Just used PHOTOSHOP for it myself recently. You have to save for web and optimize content. FIREWORKS is more set up for it by default, but the steps are a little different. Can't understand what FIREWORKS is still doing around with PHOTOSHOP and in the same package. Keep hearing about the upcoming death of FLASH, but if you ask me it ought to be FIREWORKS, completely unneeded program

Oh hold it VIDEO TO GIF? - Sorry. Premiere will do it though if you have the CS5 (or any CS package/verison). Just export or save the vid as a gif within the frame range you want, or export single images in the clip and then make your gif inside photoshop or fireworks

I was hoping there was something I could just import a clip to and click run and bam we have a animated gif lol.

something like this http://tube.xxxadultsexxxx.com/wp-co...ing-thomas.gif is pretty easy using Premiere and either photoshop or fireworks. You don't really want a gif to be too long anyway. If you're looking at straight up animation you want to use flash or after effects

Really strange. I can't get any of them to accept the video files I try to import. I down loaded the h 264 codec as advised. Still nothing.
