It's sad for the girl, but the horse has bolted. It would be very difficult to expunge that image from the wide variety of places it exists.

That's the image I first thought of when I saw this article.

From reading the article it seems like the family think this is pretty much contained to Facebook, they'd have no idea of the reach of that image (and others) on chan sites, meme sites, forums and the like. Facebook is the tip of a huge iceberg.
