Just heard the sad news on the radio. RIP Donna.

And here comes the inevitable avalanche of facebook statuses from people who are suddenly huge Donna Summer fans and feel the need to google her song lyrics and post them in tribute as if they knew them off the top of their head

I don't know much about her. My dad used to play her in the car when I was little. She was okay just not my type of music.

How very sad. She's a bit before my time but I always liked her.

Used to have those extended 45 rpm... like 10-12 minutes of a long disco version .. There was a name for that , but memory .... :Oh crap

It was an EP (Extended Play) or just the '12 inch' version...

Ah... despite my anti-disco snobbery at the time, I went to see "Thank God It's Friday" in theatres, and really loved "The Last Dance"... that and the Giorgio Moroder (I think) collaboration on "Love to Love You Baby"...
