Facebook down to $33 in pre-market trade

Facebook is dropping again today. Down to $33 in pre market trading.

Question has to be, where will it end up ? Will it keep dropping or will people be saying in 5 years time "I wish I had bought it at $35" ?

Phoenix 05-22-2012 05:42 AM

it will go down a bit more then stabilize

HushMoney 05-22-2012 05:46 AM

my guess is it stablizes at $28

+1 :thumbsup Who knows though...maybe Facebook shares will skyrocket in the future but it's just not a risk I'm willing to take or have anywhere near my portfolio

AdultKing 05-22-2012 05:49 AM

$32.75 as of now. Glad it's not my money.

Love Sex 05-22-2012 06:23 AM

$15.00 stock. to many shares, no upside

EddyTheDog 05-22-2012 06:41 AM

31.20

I told my stepfather to get in on the IPO - He did not thank god, just hope he doesn't remember the conversation.

Years ago I bought Amazon at $8, sold at 44. They are at 200+ now so I should have kept it obviously.

Thing is I was impressed with Amazon at the time, as a company and as an idea. I thought it was a resource smart people were using that would catch on. And it did.

Facebook on the other hand is full of idiots and I hate it. So who knows.

Mogan Stanley, one of the business banks facilitating the IPO of Facebook has a contractual commitment to stabilize the stock price in the first week. 63 million shares are reserved for this which could potentially cost Morgan Stanley an estimated 24 billion.

As soon as you see the stock go down and it doesn't seem to be corrected upwards you can be sure Morgan Stanley already bought these shares and no further stimulation will be applied.

Will be interesting to see where the stock is at roughly a week from now when

Lykos 05-22-2012 06:58 AM

no upside? are you high?

i'm the one knocking this stock more than anyone but i'd have to be delusional to go so far to call it not having potential..

ninavain 05-22-2012 07:14 AM

It will just keep dropping.

It will only recover if they say they have bought a firm that could make a proffit.

But they just seem to be betteing on phone aps thinking that long term they may have a profit with them. Everything they seem to do is just based on people using there website.

Google does not just rely on google.com but as we have seen they are looking long term with such as self drive cars. thus in 5 years time even if the websites make no money for google they have other things that should.

A phone app today thats popular may in a years time look old. They cost so little to buy people will just buy somthing new for fun.

Facebook has a problem, in that in some countries (such as the uk) they seem to have hit the peak, and in fact users (such as the uk) are dropping rather than rising.

To be honest facebook has a problem that its being used for others to snoop at them. kids will hate parents snooping on them. people hate there bosses seeing what they are up to.

if somone develops somthing that is simpler and avoids snooping, then they will haver a winner. basicly you need somthing thats a cross between facebook and twitter. somthing people can post on (online and via a phone) and post pics and short vid clips to. cut out the guff that facebook has. if you make it so you can select who can read in your threads and who cannot (ie you can select just a few friends that you wish to read (ie those you go to work with).

facebook is just full of guff that i bet most people do not use.

i can easily see somthing much better being developed. a much cleaner layout (like twitter used to look). in fact one thought would be you could have several threads - a bit like this forum. you can chat in each. one may be about school. While you can in facebook, its rather messy. for instance if you started a thread a year ago in facebook, its hard to find and you end up starting somthing new.

the reality is, a lot of people are not keen on facebook. they use it as it servs a purpose, but badly.

You're basically describing google+. But it turns out it doesn't matter that it might be better, or have more features and lets you select who should see it and what not. The problem is that people aren't using it.
