Amazon.com: What do you buy there?

Curious what people order from Amazon.com around here? What did you order last, and are there things you order regularly because it's a good deal?

Vanilla beans are cheaper than I've ever seen them by a large margin.

Shaving products are generally really good too, much better than store prices.

What else?

Hey if you want, load up amazon, scroll a bit and take a screenshot, post to imgur.com... It will show some things you were searching for. That is if you're brave enough to show us you were looking for a butt plug with a long tassle that says "Weeeee" when you pull on it.

hony 06-28-2012 06:33 PM

Books, I buy books from amazon.com.

My butt plugs I get elsewhere, and they don't go Weeee....

LeeD 06-28-2012 08:01 PM

I buy a lot of shit from them. Books, dvds, razor blades sometimes, even just bought a pair of shoes.

Toiletries.... and pork flavored ramen noodles when I need to reach the free shipping threshold.

lagwagon 06-28-2012 08:10 PM

When I need to pick something up I try Amazon first, two days later its at my door. Love it

sure beats going to the depot for some screws and a replacement drill battery in 115 degree heat.

I buy all of my DVDs and books from Amazon, always used, and the occasional computer item.

I was at Target a few weeks ago and saw Apollo 18 on sale for $16. I really wanted to see that movie. Instead, I came home and found it for a $1 on Amazon, used, plus $1 for delivery. I don't need new; chances are I'll watch it once or twice and never again.

Elli 06-28-2012 09:19 PM

I got a ton (that's in metric, by the way) of LED light strip kits for my new tent trailer and my friend's trailers. Also get computer stuff on there. Um, nearly all my wedding stuff because it was cheaper than renting. Fake flowers are way cheaper on there than at Michael's. Oh, and some books for presents.

ErectMedia 06-28-2012 09:50 PM

usually electronics for myself and have bought a shit ton of dvds for family for birthdays.

Amen. I do 90% of my shopping online and love Amazon, E-bay, NewEgg and Just Fab for my shoes. It's 2012, it's awesome to just have stuff show up at your door. It's like Christmas 365.

fuzebox 06-29-2012 01:27 AM

Laptop, hair products, spark plugs, lotion, a breville juicer, shoes, european power adaptors, snowboard wax iron, pci firewire card... sums up the last few months for me.

Pretty much this. I do a Sam's Club run now and then, but otherwise, I get full value out of my Prime membership.

freecartoonporn 06-29-2012 09:22 AM

gift cards

cashbizdude 06-29-2012 09:27 AM

Everything is good on Amazon, including food. Really. Gift cards are also great. I can see a day not too far off where everyone does all of their shopping online.

Goin to Vegas July 6th to 21st to work the WSOP Main Event when they play down to 9. Lemme know if you're due for a few days off ;)

Tijuana_Tom 06-29-2012 01:44 PM

It's pretty cool what Amazon has become.

It's better than Ebay for hard to find but current products.

I've bought all kinds of stuff from Pistachios to a Furnace return air grill and my Kinect

RTP 06-29-2012 02:36 PM

SykkBoy 06-29-2012 03:38 PM

One day, my wife placed an order at 8am and it was delivered to our door by UPS, that same day at 4:30 (it's good to have a local amazon distribution center here)

ruff 06-29-2012 05:02 PM

I buy a lot of stuff. I also use them for price checks and so on. You've got to stay on your toes with them though, some prices are not so sweet.

That's not even going to last you through the weekend.

pornmasta 06-29-2012 05:54 PM

They have cool movies there !
(ps, see sig :p )

rowan 06-29-2012 11:45 PM

I must be strange, all I've ever purchased from Amazon were books.

Their system is pretty stupid - it sends me offers for electric devices that won't work in my country (120V vs 240V), and they also offer me mp3 credits even though you can't purchase mp3s from amazon outside the USA.

Haha you went for the juicer!

Last thing I bought from Amazon, was eight propellers and some electrical connectors.

blonda80 06-30-2012 02:13 AM

nothing! they don`t like romania :)

xenigo 06-30-2012 02:44 AM

A huge percentage of what I buy comes from Amazon and Zappos. Last thing I bought from Amazon was some medication to cure some weird yeast infection I had on my chest... worked great! :)

Wife buys her vegan supplements there. A few days ago we got a replacement for our mailbox lock. All our books come from there... and e-books. We picked up the Breville juicer. Replacement cell phone batteries. Otter Box cell phone cases. Cell phone skins. Replacement cell phone micro-USB chargers. Replacement Macbook battery. Non-stick pots and pans. A kitchen knife set. Pyrex measuring cup. Replacement chopping blade for a Cuisinart food processor...

I've bought Diesel jeans, Lacoste shoes, Diesel shoes, and a Tumi iPad case recently from Zappos.
