My MMA Pad Work
What a difference six months can make. This was me, last December, showing horrible form, speed, and power on the pads. Last week's workout made me dig up some of these old videos. I'll be video taping newer workouts shortly, and would love to share those, as well as see other people's pad work. If you've got vids of yourself doing pads, post 'em up!

Gym idiots thread, also? Some fucktard sauntered into class today with a certificate (sigh, the Internet) saying he was a 5th Dan in some bullshido art. He proceeded to tell me a jab-cross combo I was demonstrating was a "jab-jab" combo and that a cross was thrown like a hook.
When we grappled, he was submitted by everyone, including the guy who has been with us for 4 classes. In sparring, he got his ass handed to him, and asked to stop due to "injury" .. sigh. The capper? He claimed he had to register his hands federally as deadly weapons .. that's always the give away. |

Good to hear other persones practice kick sports, about one year ago i have opened a thread here https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1036999 where i`ve mentioned i have started the kickboxing training. Recently (4 months ago) i decide myself to skip muay thai i totaly dislike this shit and i`m focus only for kickboxing. Im not a big fan of MMA and brazilian jiu jitsu but i do respect the players i know it is not easy to train regulary. Yesterday i got a sparring session where i`ve been simple devasted. 5 days i will be off :D |

I wrestled in high school, not much of a fighter though (get concussions too easy). Always preferred running to all else. Never quite broke 2 minutes in the 800 though. :disgust

I'm 5-4 currently, because I had a win taken away from me in recent times. I was 6-2, lost a heavyweight championship fight (becoming 6-3), then had a win taken away for illegal strikes to the back of the head (after 2 years, sigh), so now I'm 5-4. I'm paranoid that my next fight will make me even at .500 -- that's a scary thought. That's why I'm training my balls off, though. Once I finish coding, it's all MMA until sleep. Quote:
