Paul Markham 07-18-2012 08:31 AM

If you buy traffic, how careful are you where it comes from?

SKUP 07-18-2012 08:34 AM

That is cool. Another money train that won't make it to the station ;-)

I see so many adverts on piracy sites, it's a valid question.

Shutting down the advert networks in these sites it is same as removing paypal in file lockers. They would die out of hosting bills. I would be surprised if ad networks are prosecuted worldwide and for all sites however, this case in link its eads.to specific to kino.to , is probably same people or close partners.

And people who profit from the traffic, buy ad space. Without even considering why the traffic is on the site. Many of the resellers of these ads are praised here on GFY.

Check or turn a blind eye. How would it take long to run a check once a month?

Maybe someone should trawl piracy sites and identify the ad sellers. :thumbsup

Intporn.com with an advert with this link main.exoclick.com/click.php? and a Liver Jasmin pop under. Won't report any more of LJ as they are everywhere.

dumpstersluts.com with an advert with this link .ero-advertising.com/ads/addclick.php? and advert from cams.com and mylesbogf.com

thepornlist.net has ads from Plugrush and videosz.com/movie.php?

Seems Plugrush need to be more careful. :Oh crap

If they move to get advertisers on other sites, then this would be of major interest. It looks like they are just picking at the pieces on anyone or anything to do with Kino.

well, the owner and a few others of kino.to are already in jail - some of them for a couple of years

they have also arrested 2 people of the hosting company, now the traffic company.

also kino.to was based mostly on links to Megaupload

if it wasnt a german site the whole thing would have made a much bigger impact by now

As a program we buy $10,000's worth of those traffic here and there, labeled as "tube mix traffic" or "run on whole network". From our end (http referrers analisys) we can see there are thousands of different domain names the traffic comes from, so it is not viable for advertised to go watch thousands of domain names, may you agree.
But when there are pay users, we go to see the http referer to identify best sources and then buy there directly or just filter traffic to whitelist this and black list non productive domains.. and we get to see some it was fill dvd rip sites - or otherwise illegal contents.
Should some "police" or AdultKing's to close these sites, not the advertisers, I think.

DWB 07-19-2012 12:55 PM

Hope so.

Would you block the traffic or the advertiser if someone did flag the site as a piracy site. And would you pay for that service?

I bet if you were faced with the chance of jail or a fine, you would find a way.
