Troma's Return to Class of Nuke 'Em High

I love these movies, even though most people think their shit.

I'm a HUGE Lloyd Kaufman fan and working for him as always been a dream of mine.

They're shooting this one in Western NY and I just got hired on to the production team.

When was the last time you did something you love for next to nothing in return?

Congrats!

I'd love to work with Lloyd on a Troma movie, but my wife would kill me if I was away for that long and not making any money.

Random tidbit...one of our dog's name is Troma. Sadly, few people have ever heard of Troma Studios, so when we call him, or tell people his name, they think we're saying "trauma."

Random advice...Don't be one of the fuck-ups I'll read about in Lloyd's next book.

I hung out with Lloyd back in the day at the Sundance Film Festival, he did a cameo in "Orgazmo". He was there the night I was having sex in the hot tub with a hot Mormon girl gone wild when Les Claypool arranged stadium seating and rolled open the curtains so the whole party could watch.

Don't know if he would remember me but we hit it off well - kindred spirits on the path less traveled - but please say hello from Farrell from Orgazmo.

Many congrats on working with him - don't care what anyone says about his movies, he is a genius and you will learn a mint of knowledge from the experience. :thumbsup

Yeah...I'm getting shit from mine at the moment too. But she's supportive of me persueing my dreams (not just making movies...but working on a fucking TROMA picture), so I can't beat that. When all is said and done, having to put my three kids in daycare...I will actually be paying to work.

My plan is to be like the girl from the book who started the shoot as a PA and ended up getting a Producer credit and a few extra cheese sandwiches. :winkwink:

Candy, if you get the chance, read the book Lloyd put out on Troma. The name escapes me, but it was hilariously written. Self deprecation to the max.

Nice, I met him 3 or 4 years ago at the AFM, we chatted for a quite a bit about travelling. I did not know who he was then, but he gave me a DVD of Poultrygeist and since then I read his books that taught me a lot about the movie industry :thumbsup

There's actually 4 or 5 of them now. Read 'em all. Have the DVD collection too!
