Stream Only Paysites
 

I'm interested in talking to paysite owners that are successfully offering "stream only" inside the member's area.

Do the pros outweigh the cons? I mentioned this before on my members forum and the biggest concern is streaming from a location with slow connection speed.

P.S. I'm also looking for a good content removal company. I've been doing it myself but lately it's getting to be too much work to stay on top of.

I also realize that most of the "speed" concerns are coming from the thieves who don't want "stream only".

I know there's no such thing as 100% secure content, I'm just looking for ways to better protect it but still provide members with what they are paying for.

It boils my blood to release an update and within an hour see it shared on a site like pornbb!

The kick in the teeth is when the users praise the thief like he had a part in producing the video.

My suggestions would be pornguardian or takedownpiracy. RYC is a great company but I think they have dropped adult or limited their clients.

I have a streaming only site that does quite well

I also rotate the content so that an update only stays active for 30 days then gets disabled for 6 to 12 months before it readds...this helps retention because they cant join and cancell then come back 4 months later and get everything they missed.

I keep the price low (9.95) and it does quite well even with a mix of old and new content.

he set us up with some pretty sweet streaming only setup + with an extra protection for anyone sick enough to screen record our videos

I just spoke with Tony from RYC and they are still taking on clients. At this point I'm just researching to determine a game plan rather than playing an expensive game of whack-a-mole.

Do you offer HD stream? If it's stream only then why would you have to rotate your content?

My stuff is unique and I'm sure some members will be pissed and leave but most will stay if I went with stream only.

I don't want to stop people from "accessing" my content. I own a paysite so the objective is to "offer" content. The goal is to prevent people from sharing it for free.

Yea, but are you certain the people that are supposed to be accessing it are the only ones accessing it?

I have no clue what you're asking. I have a protected site so yes, only paying members have access to my Member's Area.

That is my question. Are you sure only paying members are accessing your members area? Security of your site goes hand in hand with preventing and protecting content.

Yes, I use login protection software to prevent trading and it works extremely well. My goal now is to minimize theft. I'm trying to find ways to satisfy members and discourage thieves.

I just spoke with Longtail and the Tech said they will just start using software like CamTasia to capture the video and the quality isn't degraded much. So it seems like sites that offer stream only are wasting their time and just taking away from the members.
