You can easily add a trade script with it. Use 'Alternate Video URL' in Admin Settings. That changes the Link URL of Video Preview Thumbs.

Nice work. What is the template built on and how hard is it to customize?

If you're nervous about all videos showing up at once, you can use auto scheduling and set x amount of new videos to come online everyday.

inkognito 09-15-2012 10:55 AM

@ Tube Ace Could you PLEASE start replaying on mail(s)...I have sent you few, but no reply....I also try to contact you on icq...wherever I can get to you... nothing...this is really, really bad support...I have also suggest you to set time WHEN auto scheduling is ON and set x amount of new videos to come online everyday...by default it's added in 00:00 every day (which may cause server downtime - my case...) can this be fixed?! I need this to be fixed, I need to setup "custom time" when new videos will be added or to run cronjob....it's up to you...

Presnus 09-15-2012 10:56 AM

Nice work guys

brassmonkey 09-15-2012 11:08 AM

where is the feature you promised me? :helpme :helpme

edgeprod 09-15-2012 11:13 AM

Great news; I've been working with some of your clients, and if this addresses any of their issues, we'll be upgrading right away.

Any chance you'll be moving to a more standard type of MVC in the near future? I'd love to see the structure go to a more stnadardized format.

Tube Ace 09-15-2012 12:17 PM

inkognito:

By default the video added time becomes 00:00:00 which is midnight. You can manually edit the hours in admin > manage videos.

I'm looking into cake as a possibility.

Exactly what did I "promise" you? Shouldn't you be making race baiting threads?

CakePHP is more for amateurs that need MVC conventions strictly enforced. Symf or Yii are better (more flexible) choices, and CI has a wider distribution. I use Cake because I have a lot of frameworks already built in it.

Looking at CodeIgniter as well. Do you have a preference? If so, can you tell me why? Thank you.

I prefer Laravel, based on modern PHP OOP and best practices. The code is very easy to read, it has a growing community and decent docs. I've frequently used CodeIgniter (and KohanaPHP), and it's pretty good with great docs and some solid tutorials available if you're just jumping into MVC. I think I actually cut my MVC teeth so to speak with CI. I haven't actually used CakePHP yet. I did look at it but felt it might be too confining following all the conventions. I also think Yii and Symfony2 are both good choices. The next Laravel is a rewrite, and coming along nicely. You can use Symfony2 components just fine with Laravel.

About the Laravel upcoming release, if interested:

CakePHP isn't necessary if you already self-impose good MVC standards. Cake is an excellent framework for getting used to MVC (which is what I used it for), but if you're already comfortable with fat model and skinny controllers, it's safe to pass it up.

If you look at the TubeAce code, you can see where it'd benefit from something as strict as Cake. It'd be appropriate in this context, where other coders of varying skill levels are all making modifications.
