ICQ WTF? Anyone Else Getting This?
 

Once or twice a day I get an ICQ message like below. In the past I could tell the spammers by their odd screennames (usually a series of random numbers and symbols) but now I'm getting these messages from legitimate-looking ICQers with real screennames etc. Anyone else seeing this?

All day everyday. I HATE ICQ! I'm about to shut it off as a source of communication. Then I realize how many webmasters still use it.

Those spam messages make me feel less alone ...

I use a long ICQ for initial contacts/public posting, then true biz partners get one of my 6 digit ones :2 cents:

I used to get that kind of thing. but I use QIP (http://qip.ru) and it has a spam blocker feature where a spammer has to answer a question before it will send the message onto me... havent gotten spammed except by actual users for about 7 years
