Good news everybody! We are going back to Iraq!!

Did you miss being there? (actually all we did was to privatize the troop deployment, but anyway...)

The good news is that we are back!! And to think, it only took 9 months from the last withdrawal to start sending US forces back in there.

Obama did a great job getting us "out of Iraq", didn't he? Obviously the media will downplay this as much as they can...

"Buried in the 15th paragraph of the report in Tuesday's Times was the news that "Iraq and the United States are negotiating an agreement that could result in the return of small units of American soldiers to Iraq on training missions" and that a unit of Army Special Operations soldiers has already been deployed to Iraq to advise on counterterrorism and help with intelligence."

Vote for Gary Johnson people..... PLEASE!!

It really is time for a third party people. The other two are just shit

No surprise ...

The Americans always did that after a war/occupation/liberation/freedom mission ....

Just think of Latin America ....

baddog 09-28-2012 08:41 AM

Vote for me; I have as good a chance as Johnson. It will make more of a statement.

sperbonzo 09-28-2012 08:47 AM

Notice the sound of chirping crickets on cable news?

.

Tom_PM 09-28-2012 08:51 AM

There's still "small units of American soldiers" in probably 100 nations across the globe. SOP isn't it?

Heath 09-28-2012 08:53 AM

Of course we're going back. Only a moron would think we could leave and Iran and Saudi Arabia wouldn't use it as a battle ground.

But the media surely won't report this. Until after the election of course.

News flash for you. Special Operation Forces are...and have been over the years...operating in many countries around the world that the public does not know about and most of the time will never know about.

sperbonzo 09-28-2012 10:37 AM

You guys are right. I'm sure that if someone else was in the white house then it still wouldn't be treated as a big deal.....

Wow.

.

Joshua G 09-28-2012 11:52 AM

no worries guys. their just going in to protect oil fields, OK?

michael.kickass 09-28-2012 11:59 AM

Why am I not surprised?

Paul Markham 09-28-2012 02:20 PM

How many "advisers" were in Vietnam?

It's a simple choice. Who do you trust to leave the lass soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Romney or Obama?

CyberHustler 09-28-2012 02:43 PM

Obama's still better than Mittens though... :thumbsup

Wow.

If you wanted people to be more emotional about it, you should've left out the "small number" and changed "training mission" to "war" and added that it was "Obama" doing it. :1orglaugh

This would work, Fox News does this stuff all the time, give it a try!

The war on terror escalates as Obama is planning to send American troops back into Iraq!

I wonder how much truth there is to that statement really. I'm being very serious too. I'm wondering if the US pulled out it's troops, minimized it's duties, and replaced them with "private contractors".

I didn't know who he was until a few days ago, but I feel strangely better since I decided even though I know my vote will be wasted. I wonder if there is a way to find out what ballots he is on.

They do not have military type offensive abilities. They are not an army they are security guards.

Captain Kawaii 09-29-2012 02:38 AM

The more Iran becomes destabilized, the more Iraq will become destabilized. It will be a lot easier to slip troops into Iran, from Iraq. And their mentioning it publicly helps to keep the lid on.

I am more interested as to the whys of the quiet and rapid withdrawals from Afghanistan.

We also didn't even need the draft, people joined the military out of nowhere just like the magic join link theory.

Can I call Mark Prince in here to acknowledge the fact he has no clue there are other parties besides the one opposing Obama?

But not if will get him shot. Because that is what happens in Quebec where they have good control laws.

Actually, they are all ex-military, and they are carrying/using most of the same weaponry that the US army troops were carrying/using. These aren't just your local mall cop.

That's kind of my point... When you say security guard I think of a guy armed with a revolver at my local bank. But these security guards are driving armored cars and armed with M16s with grenade launchers. Seems to me that does give them "military type offensive" abilities. It honestly doesn't take much to have an offensive ability - a machine gun is really all you need. Give them an armored car - which is the kind of "armored car" you would never see on the streets here in the US - and they are set to rock and roll.
