Why not just select the best 1 or 2 photos instead of adding them all?

Or is it because sponsors are paying per picture? In that case you are ripping off your sponsors.

PS. no disrespect, I like the photos and appreciate the fact you cover all these shows. Just annoying having to browse trough tons of nearly identical pictures, I just don't see the point.

While I haven't been to many shows the ones I have been to have been sausage fests so I imagine if women show up they are going to get their picture taken a lot of times.

thats not common with JFKs pix...probably had a ton of pix to setup and some near duplicates got missed..

OK , the sponsors are NOT paying per picture, so it's not about that at all. I will take a sequence of shots, some of them nearly identical yes, if I feel they are all good, let the subject or the viewer decide which one they like best. It's like publishing a contact sheet from the film days.

Also sometimes people make gifs out of them. Actually I have cut down on the # of sequential shots. When editing them if the shot is decent enough, I will leave it up, like I say, let the viewer decide which one they like best.

Kane there is difference between capturing the same subject in many different situations, versus shooting the same person 3-6-9 times in the same scene, and posting most or all of them online.

I like seeing all of them, but I'd love to have a like function that let people like pics and move the best ones to the top based on how many likes they get.
That would also solve any near dupe issues.

JFK does an admirable job and I am sure he has ran into the 'can't please all of the people all of the time' scenario plenty of times. I enjoy viewing his images of shows I've never attended to get to see the people I work with in the industry.

I was just curious about the motive behind it, because in my opinion it's very user unfriendly. I like to check the pictures, and I really appreciate the job Julius does, but many times I watch a few pictures and then can't be bothered anymore because I have to browse trough all the 'duplicate' pics.

This has actually been on my mind for many many years, but as you guys say, why complain about something that is free, so I never posted about it. But I really think that not having all these duplicate pictures makes the site a lot more user friendly and makes people stay longer on the site and eventually watch more pictures.

As others have pointed out it's not as 'bad' as it used to be anymore. But when I was browsing the mentioned gallery I just really wondered why there are 12 nearly identical pictures on 1 page of the same 2 girls. I was just really curious about the motive. And yes, it does annoy me and I was just curious if it was just me or if others felt the same. And I feel I have the right to ask and express my opinion.

I agree - this is such a crime. I mean, of all the things in the world to get pissed about, this is right at the top of my list :mad:
