So playing around with this idea of going to the USA to shoot... But I am sure the US girls are way different from the UK girls...

Can you shooters tell me the following... when you book a model, due to the massive travelling involved, how does that work ? I take it you pay travel, is that flights ?

I am also thinking it is probably hard to fly a girl in, get a days shoot, and fly her out all in one day ? We're going to be based in Las Vegas if this comes off, and I am guessing there is some local talent... but I am also guessing with some of the girls we will want to shoot they will be coming in from places like LA

Also price wise ? What is a girls day rate for hard solo with toys ? Also what would consitute a day's work for a US girl ? How many hours, hour many scenes ?

it all depends. i know shooters that have negotiated paying for the flight in exchange for the girl modeling. the girl, in turn, books several other photographers/clients on her trip to wherever you are.

rates can vary from $500-$1000/day. plenty of content shooters try to get in as many sets as possible in a day. agents are usually hip to that and charge accordingly. you may want to book those girls directly if possible.

And I'm not trolling you--I grew up in London and know there's lots of hot chicks there. It's just that whenever I watch British porn 95% of the girls are ugly slags. Don't pretty girls do porn in the UK?

When I was shooting here in PHX there was no problem bringing in Cali girls for the day. I'd either bring them in the night before (most common), or they'd catch the first flight out of Burbank or LAX the morning of the shoot (rare).

Vegas is an easy flight from Southern Cali, you will have plenty of talent available that would be willing to fly in. Vegas is also a good talent market, but less represented by agencies. You can search for your own there.

You should be eyeballs deep in talent without even trying between those 2 cities.

This is pretty much what I was going to say. If you need to shoot a volume of content within the timeline of a trip, pick an American city with access to talent and easy flights from useful neighboring cities. The expense of flying someone from Vegas to Los Angeles, for example, is way less than flying someone from Philadelphia to Los Angeles.

I don't fly girls in anymore. I shoot local girls or girls that are traveling to the area. That being said... flights from LA to Vegas are very affordable. Lots of girls are even willing to drive here, its only 4 hours.

if you need anything let me know, i can refer you to people in vegas with locations and agents etc.
the high rate for a girl solo is $750 for a full day - 8 hours.
if they are coming from LA agency then travel is on their dime, if you book the models directly you would probably pay travel, be very careful with that, some models take the travel money and leave you hanging.
best for you to do with reliable agent, they will make sure girl shows up.

Very true...and even driving from PHX here to Vegas isn't all "that" bad...but a short flight also from there is pretty affordable.

If you go to America you stay in Porn Valley.

Why would you fly all the way across the ocean to intentionally stay so far from the action that you have to fly girls in?

Yeah sorry I wasn't very precise with this post... I am going to live in Vegas for 3 months and the idea to shoot is just part of it... there is a lot of other things and yes "Poker" is one of them lol...

If I was going just to shoot I would indeed of stayed in LA :thumbsup
