I Made a complaint to BBB but no help .I gave up
I received an email from BBB 9 days ago:

Now I have applied my credit card temporarily frozen. Can somebody help me please ? How to get my money back! ? or can I get my money back?? I have tried to contact with them but they refused return all of my money. and My credit card company cannt help me..Thank you! Send that response to your credit card company, receive refund.

As a general rule the BBB are impotent. In the case of their own members you may as well forget them doing anything.
In this case it would help if you can find current contact details for the company that ripped you off ! Good luck :thumbsup |

All the BBB can do is hold the the threat of a negative review over a business. They cannot
make a company do anything. . |
Send a complaint to the Washington State Attorney general's office, fraud department and the Department of Consumer Affairs. File a post at the ripoffreport.
Try Bing or Google for something like, consumer, fraud, complaints, Washington, Bellevue. Try going to the nearest US Consulate or Embassy in CN. They'll be glad you are asking about something else besides complaining about Japan.:winkwink: Do all these things if you can pass a back ground check. You might get some help. |

Posting a complaint to the BBB is like writing a bad review on Yelp. All the bad shit is hidden if the company pays. It's legal extortion and they're banking from it.
I complained about a restaurant on Yelp and it turns out, all of the "Negative Reviews" were hidden. The place had a five star ranking, but 40 something negative reviews were hidden and you had to enter a captcha to view the bad reviews. I'm not hating on Yelp...they're fucking BRILLIANT. I'm just saying that there's no where you can complain about a company that can't be bought. I just create websites in their industry and optimize them so they show up in the SERPS ahead of the actual business. That does more damage than trying to complain to an organization that is on the books. :2 cents: |

The BBB is a joke. Your "complaints" are simply a way to strong arm companies to pay them money or your complaint will be published. I would never in a zillion years take anything the piece of shit website says seriously.

They are like/similar to the chamber of commerce in status. Once filed with BBB you can file complaints in a lot of places and they hold a little more weight. We had complaint against DirectTV - what a scam they are - and filed with BBB, Direct TV resolved situation ASAP. Companies used to not like having bad marks against them with BBB. Now they probably don't care as much.
