Do you use a Paypal Debit Card?

I just learned that if you have a PayPal Premier or PayPal Business Account with a debit card you can get 1% cashback on credit purchases if you enroll by clicking the "enroll now" on the debit card page.

Just thought I would pass that along if anyone else didn't know...:pimp

Yep we got one a few months back They are good but we get charged £2 GBP if we use it to withdraw money from an atm

RyuLion 10-22-2012 03:21 PM

Yeap, been getting that since it started.. :)

DigitalTheory 10-22-2012 03:25 PM

Yea I just started the cash back a few months ago. Never really thought about it before then.

fitzmulti 10-22-2012 03:27 PM

This is pretty standard banking practice in the US. If you withdraw from a bank that is not the same as your card. You get a charge. The bank also charges you a fee for not using their atm. so you get charged twice...

Yeah it used to be the same over here until they changed it a few years back. I can use my bank card in any atm and not get charged

Didn't see the point in getting on when withdrawal to a bank is free and using my bank card is free. PayPal get enough in fees from me already.

Its very handy you dont have to wait 3-4 days to have it transfered into your bank account and you can also use it in some shops like an ordinary credit or debit card. And the female species love using it in shops ..well my misses does anyway

Lace 10-22-2012 03:57 PM

Yup. I use it daily. 1% isn't much, but it's better than nothing. And no where near the fees of paxum or any of those rip offs.

LiveDose 10-22-2012 07:04 PM

I signed up years ago and still get 1.5% back using it daily.

Another good banking/cashback program to check out is perkstreet.com.

I've had a PayPal Premier Account with a debit card for a while but didn't know about this. Just Enrolled. Thanks for the heads up. :thumbsup

LiveDose 10-22-2012 07:18 PM

Just make sure you choose credit NOT debit.

candyflip 10-22-2012 07:32 PM

I've been using it since they started handing them out. 1% cash back ain't bad either.

How long they been available in the UK, only a couple of months?
Wish they'd dish them out to the EU.

V_RocKs 10-23-2012 12:41 AM

It is nice...

Vapid - BANNED FOR LIFE 10-23-2012 12:41 AM

awful idea no

Diomed 10-23-2012 01:25 AM

I could have sworn when they first started giving the PayPal credit/debit card out about 8 or 9 years ago.. that it was 2.5% cash back rewards?

Maybe I am mis-remembering.

Chosen 10-23-2012 02:17 AM

I don't :pimp

JFK 10-23-2012 02:17 AM

I only use mine for cash withdrawals. Every time I use it for purchases, it seems to double charge the same amount. Then I have to spend a 1/2 an hour on the phone and that's just to get thru their nightmare of a phone system, getting the 2nd mirrored charge removed.

Im not to sure. I dont think everyone here in the UK can get them though because my son applied for one with his paypal account and got refused. So have no idea if its to do with the amount of money which goes through paypal or the account type.

onwebcam 10-23-2012 12:37 PM

Probably only to the verified, the ones who've sent in their id cause they put more than $5k a year though there.
