How many blogs do you have?

Hi ya'll,

It was just recently that I discovered the phenomenon 'hardlink-trading' and found out many people have a lot of blogs.

I just created my first 6 and was wondering what the average amount of adult-blogs would be among adult-webmasters.

So my question:
How many blogs do you have/administer?

:pimp

Most have hundreds, but god that mass blogging gets deadly boring .. especially if you are not a native English speaker. :(

Quality over quantity...sometimes.

I could imagine. To bad I didn't seem able to find a nice program or system to add new posts to multiple blogs (on different CMS'es like wordpress, drupal, joomla.....etc) at once.

I did read some things about wordpress-multisites for example, but on most hosted blogs you are not able to install extra plugins. Another downfall is the fact that you would be limited to only wordpress.

Maybe someone here has any suggestions on this?

I don't know how you can post to many WP blogs simultaneously, but using spun sponsor RSS feeds helps when creating a large amount of splogs. I know you said "blogs", but I'd think that the majority of people who have 100s of sites are using splogs, or at least incorporate using them in some way.

oppoten 10-23-2012 02:31 PM

Between 100-200, but since Panda / Penguin I've greatly reduced the number that I'm actively working on.

Yes, I can understand why!
I was just reading some stuff on wiki and reached this page: Search_engine_optimization

In February 2011, Google announced the "Panda update, which penalizes websites containing content duplicated from other websites and sources.
Historically websites have copied content from one another and benefited in search engine rankings by engaging in this practice, however Google implemented a new system which punishes sites whose content is not unique.

In April 2012, Google launched the Google Penguin update the goal of which was to penalize websites that used manipulative techniques to improve their rankings on the search engine.

The update is aimed at decreasing search engine rankings of websites that violate Google?s Webmaster Guidelines by using black-hat SEO techniques, such as

  • cloaking
  • participating in link schemes
  • deliberate creation of duplicate content

seeandsee 10-23-2012 04:08 PM

Over 200, but personally i update 10, rest is autopilot or paid writers-service

shake 10-23-2012 04:10 PM

About 10, started with mainstream blogs but I was slow to realize the potential that they had back in adult.

mineistaken 10-23-2012 04:13 PM

100-500 9 33.33%
500-1000 0 0%
1000-5000 0 0%
5000-10000 0 0%
10000+ 4 14.81%

these are from splog zone :) (splog = spam blog, shitty blog whatever you call it)

oppoten 10-23-2012 06:24 PM

Panda and Penguin didn't only penalize blogs with duplicate content, keyword stuffing etc.

They basically penalized anyone who isn't an asset to Google.

So in that perspective putting up some AdSense somewhere on a page on a domain might get it a better PR? Or at least wouldn't get penalized....

No, "made for adsense" sites got hit as well.

You can't put Adsense on adult sites. And like CYF said, made for Adsense sites were also hit.

I think the search results these days are basically a branding exercise for Google. The adult sites that rank well are the ones that make the surfer thankful to Google, and make him likely to return to Google for future searches.

Milfer 10-23-2012 07:30 PM

I have more than 50 blogs

VenusBlogger 10-23-2012 10:51 PM

around 250 and growing.

no splogs, all unique content ones.
