Yikes! I had no idea the storm was this big until today. I went to Home Depot and people were freaking because there was no generators or wet vac's. I don't know why everyone waits until the last minute to think of buying this stuff.

I'm sure I will lose power for a while, but shit happens so I have plenty of booze, candles and snacks.

Was just watching the news and people freaking out about this and "what are we going to do without power for days?!?" Where do they get this from? Even still, funny to think about how devistated people will be without WiFi, Facebook and Pintrest

jaYMan 10-26-2012 04:35 PM

Yuppers time to button up the flannel! Rumors around here are stupid, someone said today Ohio was suppose to get 6 inches of rain and a foot of snow in one hour. That even possible?

Rochard 10-26-2012 04:43 PM

Another reason not to live on the East Coast.

I don't understand how people aren't prepared for such stuff like this. You have to be prepared for anything.

I live in Northern California, and while earthquakes here aren't common we are pretty much ready for anything. I have food and water stocked, gas, power, etc. I'm good.

Redrob 10-26-2012 04:44 PM

The Perfect Storm.......the reality show version coming soon to your local newscast.

Best wishes to all in the affected areas and get busy now, taking action to get through this. Living dead smack in Tornado Alley as I do, I have some familiarity with this sort of shit. Do NOT mess around with it. If you ass is not covered then get it covered FAST.

This is going to be bad and it could be REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY FUCKING bad.

Again, best wishes; Good night and good luck!

You're fuckin' well going to need it!

:Oh crap

CyberHustler 10-27-2012 04:16 AM

RubyGoodnight 10-27-2012 10:16 AM

I'm originally from Rhode Island and my family still lives there. They've gassed up the cars & generator already and will do the bread / milk / beer / weed runs at the last minute. My father told me the gas station lines are starting already.

I was living on the NJ coast when the "Perfect Storm" storm hit in October of '91. It was pretty nasty but the worst one came one year later in December of '92.

Things have been comparatively quiet since then.

Here's hoping that they stay that way.

pornmasta 10-27-2012 01:05 PM

that's why you have to vote by anticipation (just before you die) #illuminati

winds are picking up here already...This one I think is the big one :helpme

SilentKnight 10-28-2012 06:49 AM

It's gonna get interesting, no doubt.

With all the steady rain we've already had for the past two days - adding another 50-100mm on Tuesday is gonna cause a lot of flooding.

And with the already-saturated ground - the sustained high winds will likely wreak havoc with the evergreen trees that have shallow roots.

EddyTheDog 10-28-2012 06:59 AM

I said on here days before Katrina was seen as a threat that it was going to fuck over NO.

I'm not so sure about this one.....

I remember Bush sending Cheney into NO - and while Cheney walked around the city with a camera crew - someone in the background yelled out, "Go fuck yourself Mr. Cheney!"

That was the highlight for me. :1orglaugh

cybermike 10-28-2012 08:03 AM
