In anticipation of Hurricane Sandy, PSE&G has requested more than 1,300 linemen

When everyone evacuates, the linemen congregate !

Time to put on the rain gear, get out the hotstick and make some money !

It started raining here in Mid Maine late last night around 12 midnight and its getting more intense as the day progresses. Winds are slowly picking up!

I'm in CT, close to NYC and we've got nothing yet -- just some wind.

Ugggghhhh!!!

Not going to be fun. I am a mile from the beach - north of the impact zone.
Luckily not directly in a flood area - normally. The worst part about watching the news is when they say power outages are definite rather than likely to happen

I was fortunate enough to secure these this weekend:

Local media in New Jersey are reporting that coastal towns such as Atlantic City, Keyport, Union Beach and Port Monmouth are already seeing some flooding. In Atlantic City, casinos have been closed since 16:00 EDT (20:00 GMT) on Sunday after New Jersey Governor Chris Christie declared a state of emergency, the Newark Star-Ledger said.

It's gonna get interesting. Sadly this will become a political issue - Romney has already commented on FEMA this morning.
