Are you serious? Do you really think Obama's campaign is doing anything differently? Cheap promo swag is precisely the sort of thing that should be outsourced. What shouldn't be outsourced though is high-tech stuff like semiconductors.

Sadly, that's been being done for years. The whole electronics supply chain is over in China now. Even if a company like Apple wanted to manufacture completely in the US, it would be difficult as many of the components that go into products like iPhone are only made in China.

I'm voting for Gary Johnson, but if you look at the hats being sold by the Romney campaign, they are all made in the USA, and they are all either white, red or blue.

I can easily go get hats printed in China that say Obama 2012 and distribute them.... and so what? The Obama campaign wouldn't be able to do anything about me doing that, but it wouldn't make them guilty of anything either.
