>> STOP Selling Legendary Sites to 'adultwebmasternet' !!!

Hey hey,

The activity of 'adultwebmasternet' was never ever funny. Who are these people? How do they approach the owners of these legendary sites?

Shemp, Snake: WHY didn't you announce a sale thread or whatever??? How the fuck can it be that legendary sites are getting sold from names like YOURS?? I guess they were sweet talkin' about how tough is the TGP biz, bla bla, than made a nice sounding offer [12-18m of income] and made you sell to them, to their ONLY OFFER?!?!?!

WHAT THE FUCKKKKK?

I just don't fucking get it.

:( :((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( :helpme

BlackCrayon 11-21-2012 01:19 PM

Must be that - I cant think why it would be anyone's business otherwise....

robwod 11-21-2012 01:23 PM

Black Crayon: I still get sales from archives of tgp galleries I submitted eons ago...

But I agree, the amount of immediate sales you can get from a TGP is declining. However, if you look beyond what a tgp offers beyond immediate sales, there is some really good value there still. AWN clearly understands it as there is a reason they are buying these sites up.

Matyko: my best guess is that in cases like this, there is a NDA signed (non disclosure agreement). And let's face it... if it were announced prior to a completed sale, people would kill their partner accounts, delete links, etc. I would assume AWN relies a little bit on webmasters being lazy and not removing old links to them.. as this gives them a pile of one way backlinks that date back for years usually.

It is upsetting me for several reasons, but hell YES, I would have made a bid on both big sites that were sold. These legendary sites are in bad hands now. You know what was a good sale?? When Humbolt sold Library Of Thumbs. Now THAT site belongs to an Adult Webmaster of the Bright Side and it makes sales and it is Getting Developed, etc...

The fact that TGPs are downhill have nothing to do with the topic/OP Dear Sir.
My problem is not that these sites are sold, my problem is How they were sold and to WHO. :2 cents:

Adultwebmasternet is pissing a lot of tgp submitters. For me it seems that their strategy is to utilize free backlinks from submitted galleries + content juice from tube videos. Problem is that most of submitters does not care, but I suggest everyone to remove/replace backlinks from old galleries. Otherwise they will buy last TGPs too very soon.

its pretty obvious that adultwebmastersnet is approaching tgp owners. if you feel this is bad then you shold beat them to it and do the same. you can't expect these owners to put it in the public auction block when they get good offers.

yep, one way to stop/slow them down would be if people would actually remove their old links and adultwebmastersnet saw a decline in traffic, they might have to rethink their strategy. sites trading with them should drop them too.

the Shemp 11-21-2012 01:41 PM

i cant speak for Snake or the other sites that they bought, but adultwebmasternet approached me in 2010 about selling shemp.com to them...we talked off and on for many months after that and the offer kept getting better...so i finally agreed to a price a few months ago.

its just business, no regrets on my part.

Klen 11-21-2012 01:44 PM

Yeah they sucks i had good trades which was bringing me very good and productive traffic and when they bought them prod went to complete shit making trade completely useless so had to drop or minimize trade with each site they bought.

AutumnBH 11-21-2012 01:49 PM

Why the hate?

Those guys have an awesome business model, amazing quantity of traffic, amazing SE traffic, they're just taking over... Even before they started buying up big sites en masse they had an amazing network and major SE juice. I have been watching sites like tiava bang around in the serps for literally years.

If you can't generated your own traffic and your business model is based on leeching traffic from other peoples' sites by submitting galleries or whatever other 2005-era scheme you're using, boohoo for you.

Like shemp just said, the sites and the traffic belong to the owners, and it's up to them to do whatever they want with them.

robwod 11-21-2012 01:55 PM

AutumnBH: traffic diversification has always been important. Always. It has never been a good idea to put all of your eggs in one basket.

As for our part, it's just one less site to pay for each month, and easy enough to mass delete links to the sites, whether it be Shemp, Snake, Bulldog or whomever (we linked to them from much more than your standard general tgp gallery -- ours are shared by many many users daily on social networks for example, indexed and ranked in search engines, etc). But it only takes a few seconds for us to mass delete all links to them. No skin off my teeth.

Either way, we're not really negatively affected as another site will want those links from us :)

Roald 11-21-2012 01:55 PM

I too think its sad to see these once massive sites turn into tubes but hey Nostalgia doesn't pay any bills ;)

Btw these guys have been around for ages.
