I went to get a cashiers check Tuesday and find today that my wife THREW IT OUT! $685!!

Anyone deal with something like this before? Can I stop payment and get a refund? I don't have the reciept as that was in the envelop as well.

Yes, contact the issuer. It won't be free but not expensive either.

I have done it and it is no big deal but it takes time to get the money back.
