What happens if Manwin falls?

I know it's very premature but I saw an interesting comment on another board by someone. Their theory was that if Germany sees something then all the other countries are going to start looking much harder at Manwin's other properties around the world and this might eventually cause the whole house of cards to fall so to speak as all the other countries dig in and want their share too.

What do you think the ramifications of a total Manwin collapse on the industry would be at this point? Do you think the tubes will ever go dark (probably not) or do you think assets will simply be transferred and things will become more distributed once again?

Klen 12-12-2012 10:37 AM

Lol,manwin cant fall.Even if they close manwin germany nothing will happen since they run only one amateur aff program and possibly nothing else.
Not too mention diesel action owner was for a while in jail and program was not affected at all with him being in jail.

Paper_Amar 12-12-2012 10:38 AM

my two cents - this is a speed bump - biz as usual for them - a fine at worst

Killswitch 12-12-2012 10:38 AM

Manwin is the Google, Inc. of porn, they won't and can't fail.

JosephFM 12-12-2012 10:39 AM

Agreed, but if they did fall there's plenty of people that would pick up different pieces and run with them so in the big picture it wouldn't change the industry much.

anybody else see this on pornhub and youporn?

I am speaking hypothetically. What happens if they did fall?

But now that we are on this from what I read Fabian is probably going to be in jail without bail awaiting extradition for 3 to 6 weeks. That's pretty serious and that says nothing of what happens from there. I'm sure with their corporate structure they have others who can take the reigns but this would have to effect operations at least somewhat. Then there are the risks such as frozen accounts, other officers being arrested, possible seizure of domains (is this possible under German law?) and all of that. The fallout on Manwin is probably going to last for years even under the best case scenario because that fallout is likely going to include other investigations.

billywatson 12-12-2012 10:55 AM

I find it funny that people here actually believe Manwin "can't fail".

pornguy 12-12-2012 10:56 AM

Just checked and I dont see that. Seems to be working just fine.

freecartoonporn 12-12-2012 10:56 AM

hypothetically speaking, nothing changes.,

From what I recall of my primary school science classes; "Nature abhors a vacuum". So, when you remove some thing from a space, something else rushes in. I would guess a lot of people would rush to try to fill Manwins space.

If anyone had the desire to do this, they should practice saying this in their best Barbosa voice; "Arrrrr matey, call me a pirate if you wish, I'll pirate my way to the bank now. Arrrrr..."

He would most likely be allowed to run parts of his business while in custody and it would be rather strange if he wasn't allowed to go home for Christmas, it shouldn't take too much effort from his lawyers.
It probably boils down to if they are looking for the source of the investments they received or if they are looking for taxation of their current activities.
For taxation they are most likely just trying to ensure they have copies of all the needed paperwork before letting him back out.
I'm guessing Fabian will celebrate Christmas with his family and friends :2 cents:

Helix 12-12-2012 11:52 AM

It's too big to fail. They will pass a taxpayer funded Manwin Stimulus package. ;)

Due 12-12-2012 11:53 AM

Meanwhile in Germany:

Prosecutors said 500 police officers swooped Wednesday on Deutsche Bank AG offices and private properties in Frankfurt, Berlin and Duesseldorf.

Anyone know that Credence Clearwater Revival song from the Seventies, "I See a Bad Moon Risin'"?

DWB 12-12-2012 12:09 PM

I don't think they will, but anyone can fall. How they would fall is the question to ask. Are assets sold off are are they seized and frozen? Huge difference in what would happen next.

That said, I doubt this is much more than a few weeks of Fabian's life, some money, and a lot of paperwork.

arock10 12-12-2012 12:14 PM

biz as usual unless it turns into a megaupload situation

In the USA they just send a letter for bad paperwork, they don't arrest you.

Someone can and will take over the operations.... thats usually how this goes in corporate business.

The only thing that may change are the people at the firm, not the overall business plan being executed upon.

Although barely impossible... even if it happens, that would mean nothing...

ROJADIRECTA.com domain was seized last year and the owner of the domain SUED the US Government and Homeland Security using San FRancisco based Lawyers and they won the CASE. The CIA and US GOvernment had to give back rojadirecta.com and take it up their asses...

And there are many other cases, of domains ILLEGALY SEIZED by the CIA Robbers and having to give the domains back and take it up their asses. :pimp

If you dont believe me, just google the case. :)
