Saw it last week. It was an entertaining movie.

Saw Django Unchained last night. That's a crazy ass movie.

I recommend them both as good fun movies. (very violent though)

fris 12-26-2012 11:04 AM

ya django looks good as well

ShowMe69 12-26-2012 11:10 AM

Choopa_Pardo 12-26-2012 11:11 AM

I can't take five-foot-three Tom Cruise seriously as some ass-kicking action star.

I did not think he would do well in the Interview with a vampire movie either as he had nothing to do with the character described in the book, but he pulled it off.

Don't let his insanity affect your enjoyment.

He's a good actor and actually pulls off the Jack Reacher character real well.

If I stopped watching movies of crazy fucks...I'd have nothing left to watch. lol

Same with music. :)

I know what you mean, but you should. He's made some pretty amazing movies over his career.

That's for sure - he is a great actor and the movies he does are typically very good.

I just found out its written and directed by the same guy who did Way of the Gun. I might have to go check it out now.

candyflip 12-26-2012 05:25 PM

Movie was crap and and anyone who says otherwise doesn't know movies.

It was Tom Cruise, playing Tom Cruise in a Tom Cruise produced picture.

Save your money and see something else.

Nookster 12-27-2012 02:57 AM

Heard it was awesome from my neighbors. (I live in the heart of Hollywood.) I don't like Tom at all but might have to check this one out.

sandman! 12-27-2012 02:57 AM

I've read all but the most recent book. It's one of several series I follow.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but in the books Reacher is 6'5" with a 50 inch chest. He can break a neck with one hand and kill someone with a single punch to the head or chest. I would never picture Cruise pulling it off. Now Ray Stevenson would have been my choice.

As, stated above somewhere, I'm a fan of the books as well,, was going to see the movie last night, but chose Django instead. Not sure if I want to ruin the illusion I have in my minds eye about the character:winkwink:

SpeedoDave 12-27-2012 04:15 AM

Hopefully they didn't fuck it up like the attempt to put Clive Cussler on the silver screen.

who cares about his scientology shit. It's just as stupid as other religion fairy tales, why make an exception to the newest?

i enjoy pretty much all of the movies he's in, he's a damn good actor. Never got into the mission impossible movies though, somehow they are missing something.
You should watch:
- collateral (this one's very good)
- minority report
- vanilla sky
and alot more :thumbsup

Am I the only one who saw that Tom Cruise was in that movie, and thought Jack Reacher... really? (insert reach around joke here)

LAJ 12-27-2012 09:51 AM

I absolutely refuse to see it. Don't care how great an action star Cruise is. In the books Jack Reacher is tall and not 50 years old.

I'll wait for the porn parody version to come out... "Jackoff Reacharound"

yeah because bruce lee was a fucking giant...

Robbie 12-27-2012 12:10 PM

I never read the books so I had no preconceived idea of who Jack Reacher was. So to me the movie was a good action movie and Tom Cruise was believable kicking ass on the screen.

Maybe they shoot him at the right angles, pair him with actors of a comparable height, and his intensity in his roles all come together to bring about a pretty good illusion and tell the story.

bronco67 12-27-2012 01:12 PM

I liked it as an old school action thriller. Good dialogue, interesting murder mystery, and a 70's style car chase.

CaptainHowdy 12-27-2012 01:25 PM

I'm not gay ...

Sid70 12-27-2012 01:58 PM

I'm sick of that homo.
