Awesome Chance for AWESOME Investment
I know this doesn't have to do with GFY but anyways. I know you've heard of Amazing Spiderman. Well, the series is coming to an end. They actually kill off Peter Parker! This issue will be SUPER COLLECTIBLE! All of the comic book stores I've called in Dallas and Louisiana are SOLD OUT! I found it on Amazon so get on it before they are sold out! THIS COULD PUT YOUR YOUNG KID THROUGH COLLEGE! http://amzn.to/RkmjhE

didnt you say the same thing about xboxes or am i thinking of something else?

This isn't actually the case, and is horrible advice. Spiderman 700 (which I have sitting next to me here) isn't going to be worth much more than Thor 432 (where they killed off Thor).
Not many "current gen" comics are worth any money. The reason "older" comics are worth money is because only a few people bothered to collect them or keep them in good condition. Now EVERYONE has that in their mind, and there's no scarcity. I'm sorry, but you just don't understand the market at all. Even most of the "limited print" comics (which this is really not) aren't worth more than $10, decades later. |
Also, to clarify: This is The Amazing Spiderman, just one of the Spiderman branches, and it's not "ending," it's just transitioning to "The Superior Spiderman," -- I won't post WHY, in case anyone wants avoid spoilers.

you have to wait at leas a 20 years and depends on how many they are gonna print.

http://marvel.wikia.com/Thor_Vol_1_432 Issue #432. Thor fucking DIES. I bought 20 of them (over 20 years ago), because I was a dumb kid who thought along the lines of this thread. What're they worth today? $4. |

Turns out the most valuable comic I had was the two issues where Todd McFarlane took over Spider-man. His first issue and the next issue which was the first appearance of Venom I was able to sell for about $125 each a few years ago. Everything else just isn't valuable because there were so many copies of it. The same goes for baseball cards from that era. There are so many out there that most have little or no value. |
i like spiderpoo...

I need a new bird cage.

Because Death of Superman ended up being so valuable :1orglaugh

I just found an unopened Death of Superman in my attic.
I opened it, flipped through and have been breaking my weed up in it. |

And the series won't be come to an end. I've read rumors about Parker being cloned, and maybe this is part of another universe. Or this is the beginning of new comic heroes, that should get their fame sooner or later. Internet is the way they use to spread comics. P.S. Don't forget that they killed Captain America , Wolverine , Iron Man.... and Hulk left for dead in paralel universe with no humans to smash. All those heroes dead. |

Those are interesting. I think people like to hold on to their childhood memories. Everybody reads through those comics.

speaking of collecting stuff like this, are old playboy magazines worth anything? or can you still get old issues directly from playboy for like $10?
