SEO Help Please

Call me an idiot, but one of my competitors is posting on blogs like this getting free back links.

How does someone post on a website like this?

http://50fiftyclothing.com/blog1/

http://50fiftyclothing.com/blog1/?page_id=2 ?

I thought google would not like these type links. Just total random BS!

FreeHugeMovies 01-16-2013 06:37 PM

http://www.medicalinfo101.com/

More examples of BS blogs.

You're an idiot - you asked!

Hey! Its Google. Useless random nonsense that changes constantly. Google is so fucking paranoid that nothing that you do will ever be "right". You might fluke out now and then, but don't worry about it. Don't worry about what other people are doing. Just build your own brand, raise it up the flagpole, and see who salutes.

The last thing I worry about is Google. They're doing just fine. They don't need me, and I've set things up so that I don't actually need them anymore. The monthly traffic spikes and dips are exciting, but I don't even pay attention anymore. Fuck Google.

Ranking over EVERYONE

Comment links aren't completely dead, they still pass some juice as long as they aren't on a site that G has classified as a "bad neighborhood." And it is my observation (I only have anecdotal proof) that G seems to be a little more lenient towards adult sites when it comes to "bad neighborhood" links. I think they figure all adult sites are sort of a bad neighborhood anyway.

FreeHugeMovies 01-17-2013 10:16 AM

He isn't commenting spam. He's writing articles and submitting them.

A: How does someone find these random blogs that will take articles?

Go to alexa, Type you competitor's site in. Click on sites linking in. Should find some blogs.

bns666 01-17-2013 01:33 PM

georgeyw 01-17-2013 01:58 PM

Does he submit or does he have blogs that are getting scraped?

I find a heap of mainstream articles scraped and put on so many heap of shit blogs.

That's also been my experience. I've noticed many adult sites with TERRIBLE quality back links, but fairly good rankings.

If I did the same with a very mainstream site, no go.... ask me how I know. :1orglaugh

Comment spam certainly works, but it's not reliable nor the best solution, IMHO.

don't get it, you are concern about engadget.com ? there are quite few places where they allow you to submit articles to multiple blogs and believe me that shit is nothing.
check this idiot: etownc.com and yet that spammy shit is still working and yes he is a member of this forum..

Scrapebox. :2 cents:

PS: Almost everything everyone believes about seo is 95% myth and nonsense.

Nothing to do with scrapebox, I don't think he's talking about comments, but rather posts on a huge number of unrelated blogs (sites). Just saw another site on Page1 on Goolge ranking in the exact same way - blog posts with 100% readable content (in this case) on gazillion of blogs, some not even in English. At first I thought that these sites allow users to register their own accounts and publish guest posts, but on closer inspection, it doesn't look like they do.

I have 3 SB licenses and SB cannot publish posts, you can post blog comments if you really want to, but I wouldn't bother

I took a closer look at the backlinks of the site that I was spying on and it looks like the links were built with just about every tool that I know of. The guy had backlinks on forums (short articles posted as bio), on JCow and Elgg sites, WP sites, you name it, so AMR or Ulitmate Demon would be a good guess too along wiht Xrumer. His ranking won't last though, the KW is quite competitive and someone will rat him out pretty soon

slapass 01-18-2013 08:37 AM

What are you guys using to check backlinks?

Right now, ahrefs.com is probably the best, the free account gives you various stats about a site's link profile and lets you export 500 of the backlinks

if you have ScrapeBox, you can export 1000 of any site's links, but the data is pulled from Alexa's API if I'm not mistaken (now called Amazon webservices or something like that), so I would still run it through ScrapeBox internal link checker as to weed out the dead links

clicker 01-19-2013 08:33 AM

I use backlinkwatch.com for check them.

Anyone else?

ahrefs looks good thanks.

I never knew about http://ahrefs.com

I still haven't figured out how to find these random BS blogs that take these articles! :winkwink:

FreeHugeMovies 02-14-2013 09:30 AM

Does anyone know of a service that does this type of stuff? This is mainstream.

FreeHugeMovies 02-15-2013 08:46 AM

reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Tom_PM 02-15-2013 08:49 AM

I clicked the first link and it's 404. Didn't last long I guess?

Relentless 02-15-2013 11:44 AM

Great way to rocket to the top and then end up sandboxed with a dead domain a short time later.

On the other hand, quality articles submitted to credible relevant sites are more helpful than they ever were in the past. As simple hardlinks go into decline, contextual links before far more worthwhile.

fastwebcash 02-15-2013 11:53 AM

majesticseo.com also is good for backlinks.

FreeHugeMovies 02-18-2013 02:47 PM

I used to have wood. Now I do not!

livexxx 02-18-2013 06:39 PM

seomoz , linkdetective.com, and a couple of LDA tools. But its the ones you can't see that are probably the real juicy ones IMHO. But those pages are 404 now in any case

There's a few tools that can do this, the best of which is SEnuke. Here's a video demo of how to use it for adult sites: http://www.adultseotraining.com/trai...o-tools/senuke

It's not cheap, but it's what most big SEO companies use for bulk low to medium value links. It's also great for your link velocity and diversity, and for keeping your anchor text diverse. It has a learning curve, but once you have it up and running you basically let it do its thing while you spend your time getting your high value links.
