Sending Flowers Online...

Anybody have some good recommendations on what site to use?

Proflowers, 1800-Flowers, Teleflora, any other ones?

or would it be better to call a local florist in the recipient area and have them deliver?

Thanks.

CourtneyR 02-07-2013 01:12 PM

1 800 flowers.

Have used Proflowers a few times, everything was good quality

Phil LoadedCash 02-07-2013 01:23 PM

Have you guys also used the Chocolate options on their site? Is it decent?

I prefer fine chocolate. I see their prices are $10 for a small box, I don't want to send it if it is walmart quality chocolate.

Use a local florist. Telaflora at the most, since they have a decent network of locals, bud don't use those fucking big corps they suck ass

Call a local florist, you'll save in fees, and often better flowers will get delivered (you can choose a good one yourself)

just watch the delivery fees etc on online florists. A lot of times it is just as much as the flowers you are buying

CourtneyR 02-07-2013 02:04 PM

Or if you are in the area and have the time deliver them yourself. It will mean more.

If it was possible I would do that.

How do you women feel about flowers delivered to work? Too flashy?

Send her a teddy http://www.vermontteddybear.com/

If you're set on flowers call a local florists. Most online florists know the sender never sees the gift and will send less or not as good quality as a local.

It's not to flashy but i would go with something other then red roses, if you know her fav flower go with that. and don't get the biggest one on the site just something simple.

Go with a local florist, for sure. My best friend and I were both single last year, so we sent each other flowers. She used Proflowers and I went the local florist route for her. We both spent the same amount of money, and the puny bouquet I got vs. the gorgeous one she got made us both super angry. She sent the pics to customer service at Proflowers and after a lot of back and forth, they offered her a discount on several future orders. That she clearly won't be using.

Ordered these for mothers day and my mom had a hard time keeping my dad and sister from devouring the whole box before she could have any. Apparently they were yummy.

1-800 flowers.. I ordered at 8AM that day and it was delivered around 1pm. Excellent service. I will say the size of the flowers were a tad disappointing tho, alot smaller then it looks in the picture.. but still overall great experience.

Phil LoadedCash 02-08-2013 06:51 AM

Thanks all for the suggestions. I am going to use Berries.com and call some florists in her area today, if they can't take payment by phone then I'll end up using ProFlowers or 1800Flowers.
