Chuck Hagel will not become secretary of defense after this.

Chuck Hagel claimed the following:

- Benjamin Netanyahu is a radical.

- Israel is becoming an apartheid state (racial segregation by law).

- The US State Department is influenced by Israel's wishes.

- Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni's surprising resignation was due to Netanyahu being too extreme.

- Wants Hamas brought into a peace deal.


He works in politics and should have known better than to say this stuff. It isn't allowed in the US. No chance of him getting the Sec of Defense post now.

It's a tough position. Hamas is the elected party now. So do you call them terrorists or do you call them freedom fighters and make it retroactive?
