So what exactly is your experience with buying traffic?
High!
I am think of buying traffic from some brokers like juicyads etc for a cams WL, so what is your experience with this? You spend $1000 one month and make back $100 in sales that month? Thanks |
It's all about tracking. If you can code your links to each individual broker or individual site buy then you can look back and increase spending to what is working and eliminate or reduce things not doing so hot. Gotta test/track everything, traffic types clicked, skim, popunder, geo filtering, different brokers/individual site buys etc... Personally I can look back and see where every sign up/sale came from compared to costs and if ya can't do that then ya might as well open the window and throw your money into the wind. Buying/Analyzing traffic is a skill as there is no one size fits all, over time and a few wasted dollars you will figure out what works best for what you are promoting. :2 cents:

My luck has not been that great. Back in the day I bought some gallery traffic from Choker that did pretty well and for about a year I big on some search terms on a SE called 123 search. Those were golden. There were a few keywords that I could easily triple my money on just sending traffic directly to a sponsor tour. It came to an end when the sponsor figured out what I was doing and bid on on the top spots. They could afford to spend more per click than me so I had to give it up.
Buying other traffic, though, I have never had any luck. That said, I am about to launch a new blog in a sub niche and will try some traffic buys for it so hopefully it will pan out. |
track, start small and crank it up.

Juicy Ads - Buy from sites that match your content and that have a high rate of premium country traffic US/CA/UK etc... which is indicated by green bars on the site profile. You could also do run of the network there and geo filter it to only the countries you or the program are capable of billing along with using killer thumbs that have high CTR. Plug Rush - Buy "Plug" traffic and be sure to geo filter it and use killer thumbs with correct niches selected for your ads as well. Buy, Track, Adjust= Profit :2 cents: |
When I used to buy traffic I say i've only wasted about 2 grand on it , then i started building my own sites and my own traffic and don't have to buy traffic anymore.

Invest your money elsewhere.

Spends $1000 on 10 sites, tracks nothing, makes $400 calls it a $600 loss and says it sucks I spend $1000, track each site individually, find out the $400 came from 1 site, increase budget to the 1 site drop the other 9, $600 write off, grab another 10 sites and repeat, fast forward and you eliminate the shit and have all solid ad buys |

BTW, I'm going to sign up for a couple programs under you as a small thanks for the info you've posted in this thread. |
Bought a plugrush ad this weekend. Interesting seeing what the competition is and looking at what brings them traffic. Not bad for $20.
I agree with the others. Watch where the traffic is coming from. |

Open your eyes, people. Buying traffic doesn't work in a decadent business. Anyway, do whatever you want, you dont have to listen to me, I am not the one trying to drive you subliminally to a broker with my Signature links. And to the OP, you can spend 1000 bucks and with luck make 300, which means, you lose 700. Just use common sense. :2 cents: |

Buying traffic for the most part takes great diligence, intelligence, skill and constant testing, tweaking and tuning and it takes a great deal of capital. Thinking you are going to just spend money and make money is like thinking you're going to wake up one day and win a 10k run simply because you decided to, in spite of not training for it or ever even running at all, much less possessing any understanding of any other component which affects the outcome.
This is not a business full of diligent, intelligent and skilled people. Its a business full of the lowest common denominator. It just a collection of retards bitching day in and day out that Google fucked them or that tubes destroyed them. In addition to what you may or may not have think know or you've learned, there is also a small army of people watching every single ad, displayed on every single site in almost every single country... knowing the duration those campaigns have been active, what ad/landing page combinations are most commonly used and having a very good idea of how you made it work so that it can be copied, deployed and you can be outbid in minutes. Any and all of your success will be short lived because many people are going to rip off what you do and it happens very quickly. Ads/landing pages also get stale and great performance turns to average performance very quickly and it requires again a great deal of production, design, testing and deployment for consistently good results. With few exceptions, if you are not spending 5 figures + a month on traffic, you know next to nothing about the game, about buying traffic and about how to make it work. You'd have to spend 1000s on traffic junkie for example just to learn anything at all. Then you'd have to make changes, and spend a few 1000 again,... rinse, repeat. 99% of people in this biz aren't capable of executing against formulas, analyzing data or of competent testing. If you've spent 100's or 1000's and lost a lot of money can called it quits.... well, congrats... you're in the 99.5%. Maybe statistics, testing and data analysis is just not your thing. Maybe there is a reason that the same relatively small group of people are buying up the vast majority of tube traffic at a premium cost and other ppc traffic and others aren't. |
