WP Backend suddenly slowed to a crawl
 

Has anyone ran into their Wordpress Admin area become incredibly slow? Everything lagging and taking forever from putting together a post to simply clicking over to another section?

I see some people finding this with plugins, W3, or the admin bar causing issues, but after adding two new blogs running the same plugins I've always used I'm stumped and looking for some advice. Every WP install is experiencing this now, I even get some occasional timeouts.

Maybe its to do with that huge global WP attack that has been underway all week long?

No but Im having an issue with the latest WP that I just downloaded.

Are the sites working fine? Just the backend?

Ahh yes I heard something about that.. anyone else notice the shitload of spam from .ru that started today all pretending to be news updates about the boston bombing?
