Depends on the content. Some just don't translate well to B&W.

In generalities - your average garden-variety wanker seems to prefer color for the fleshtones. The artsy-fartsy Starbucks crowd appreciate the B&W.

color seems to have a bit more vibe.

You can't just process a color photo into b&w and hope it'll look good. With b&w you have to do with light what you can do with color in a color photo--so you have to think in b&w as you're shooting if your output is intended to be b&w.

In your b&w version of the photo you posted, the left side of the image is badly lit, and the model's head merges with the background. In the color version, the left side looks okay, and you can see separation between the head and the background because of the difference in color.

But maybe I'm over-thinking this? It's just porn, so quality really isn't much of an issue, is it?

Yeah, I agree. Researching your niche and seeing what people are looking for on surfer forums will help a lot.

Bryan(Brian) last night I was processing pics. First thought was b and w , second thought was giving it a cool vibe. This was honestly a test pic. There a 100 + pics in a set.
I asked which people liked better. Nothing about the pic. Seriously if you want a pic with a boot I will put one up.:winkwink:
