Online Payments Without Chargebacks?
 

Is there anyway to accept payments online without the risk of chargebacks? Like a prefunded account that does not allow chargebacks or a service that verifies the card and customer so the customer cannot say it wasn't him?

I am trying to think of a way to get processing fees under 10% with chargebacks. That seems pretty close to impossible right now.

The only thoughts I had were prepaid visa cards and western union payments but those do not work well for a payment processor. Anyone know a way?

I was thinking of bitcoins because of all the talk lately but they are not really big enough to use for a website easily.

After fighting chargebacks for nearly a year (and winning most too) the above posts are right. Cash/Western Union are your best bets. You could start paying for Verified by Visa or Securecode from Mastercard to prevent the 'fraudulent' codes from coming through, but that doesn't stop them from just using a "not as described" code instead and still taking a nice % cut off every single sale.

Pre-paid cards won't really save you either unfortunately. Cash/WU is your best bet. That or figure out why you're getting so many CBs. Without knowing what site/services you're offering or if you're doing any cx service at all for clients, it's such a vague area to even attempt to offer any advice. Should hit up the company A.S.S. that's started up, offers full support in that area, I'll forward the thread over to them.

If you properly monitor and manage your members, you can keep your chargebacks low. We have done this for many of our clients, and have successfully kept their chargebacks well under 1%. We are a cam site not based in the US, and chargebacks are less than 1%, we have a merchant account and most is visa/mc simply. But 1) most of the sales volume are from regular customers we got since years so not chargebacking ans 2) it requires to check several times a day (if not realtime) all the sales from new users, especially at times a big idiot starts to do a serie of new accounts with new ip's and cards every 5 minutes for hours, and you have to forget lunch, dinner or sleep... to void realtime all what he does until he's bored to retry again... some of those kids have lots of free time.
Chargebacks from legitimate users who "change idea" are not that many... most it is simply carders really (and affiliate carders too - an amazing 50% of new affiliates we get signing up are fraudsters...).
