If anyones interested in seeing where I live...

This was shot in the town where I live, back in 1966! Its funny when you know the actual layout, how fucked up the chase scene is... But although certain things have changed (The big grass roundabout is now a carpark etc) If you make it to the end of the clip, where the guy gets off the bike and enters the house....

That house is only about 6 doors down from where my Aunty still lives ! To this very day :thumbsup

EddyTheDog 05-12-2013 03:35 AM

Well, we divorced in 2005... as for what she does these days, a few people have informed me that she works as a veterinary assistant... ?

But I cant say for sure - We are no longer in touch - But due to her "RE-MARRIAGE" (For a VISA...) she is still in America, living in North Hollywood..

But I may be wrong - I dunno...

No, I'm in Essex. Only parts of the film was made here, probably as its a new town and they used loads of concrete when building, thinking they were being futuristic.

TrashyGirl 05-12-2013 04:32 AM

This thread does not deliver. I clicked thinking: be ready for pics of an outhouse and poo. Instead, there are old movie clips, a pretty post card pic of where Muse came from and no poo.

adult-help 05-12-2013 05:16 AM

yeah where is the poo, mister?

LeeD 05-12-2013 05:17 AM

That was funny, looks like a nice town.

Jel 05-12-2013 05:18 AM

I've been in Rochester nick, where parts of Scum were filmed - that's about my claim to fame lol

John-ACWM 05-12-2013 05:29 AM

Fun to discover these type of things!

Me too, many days spent fishing off that pier. Place has changed so much now. Remember when peterpans playground was just a shit wooden rollercoaster, and a big hetler skelter you used to ride down the outside of on doormats.

AllAboutCams 05-12-2013 09:39 AM

I love english seaside towns

Not sure if they allow fishing. Its privately owned, and I cant say I've seen anyone doing it. The bridge however, over the river is a different matter. You see lots of people fishing there..

But, as I'm not a 'fishing' person myself, I dont know much about it

shake 05-12-2013 11:45 AM

Really nice little town. It would be nice to have a boat living there.

2013 05-12-2013 09:31 PM

can u google maps it for us cs

halfpint 05-13-2013 12:51 AM

Hehe good old Norman Wisdom.. Im not very far from where u live either, Im right on the Somerset/Devon border. Love living down this way wouldent live anywhere else now

nico-t 05-13-2013 01:21 AM

the fact that the british have an appalling taste in how houses look, both external and internal, along with 90% rain, makes the places there look very depressing and stuck in the 50's.
On british tv shows when you see the avarage house interior the style is always 'granny'. Like they are stuck in time.

privatesociety 05-13-2013 04:11 AM

Great place CS!

I thought it would be your "i live here image" with the arrow before I clicked!

OK, I'll bite. It's the longest 'leisure pier' in the world, not the longest pier :)

You know Downtown Abbey was set in the early 1900s?
