Giving away free HD video for email leads?
 

Someone raised this idea. It gets raised at GFY and other places from time to time. I don't think I buy it. Does this even make sense considering the huge number of tubes out there. Sure, email marketing is way better than PPC and SE traffic but people don't normally buy adult off newsletters, no?

If that's the case, then why aren't more people doing this. Remember: email lead lists (double optin) = effective way of turning TEMPORARY traffic into a SEMI-PERMANENT pool of potential buyers. Of course, getting an AR company to handle your list is another problem.... :Oh crap
