Amazon.com Order - What should I buy?

Visiting the US this weekend with family, looking to put in an Amazon.com order since Amazon.ca pales in comparison.

What kind of things do you guys order from there?

Depends on the item. Most of the time when you add something to your cart it says "item cant be shipped to your default location". Interestingly enough I just ordered some new doors for my jeep from there. On the regular site it said it couldnt be shipped to me. When I went to the mobile site it said shipping was $75. Its pretty hit or miss in canada.

you also have to pay duty and higher shipping charges.

Ya I got nailed $93 when the order showed up at the door. Still worked out slightly cheaper than ordering the same item in canada though.

Just for the record, I dont know anyone that eats canadian bacon, and ive only ever seen it in pictures. When you order bacon and eggs here you get normal bacon just like everywhere else. 50% of my milk does come from bags though.

yep, it often works in your favor. i prefer it when sites add the duty upon checkout, makes it easier. i never really know what to expect when i get hit at the door but its still often cheaper than buying in canada. i wonder if canadian retailers will ever realize how much money they are losing by keeping prices so high. i bought a pair of boots this past winter online from the states, 48 bucks there, 120 plus tax here. after they hit me with 40 bucks for duty (i thought it was quite retarded that the duty was almost the same price as the boots but whatever) it was still nearly 60 bucks cheaper.

Peameal bacon kicks ass, especially when grilled, but its not my morning bacon, that's still side bacon. So you can count me as one Canadian that does indeed eat Canadian bacon. On a side note, smoked back-bacon is really quite good, but only a few butchers I've been to carry it.
