The revelations about the National Security Agency's surveillance apparatus, if true, represent a stunning abuse of our basic rights. We demand the U.S. Congress reveal the full extent of the NSA's spying programs.

Pfft.. they already violated the public's trust by secretly spying. A petition will not change that.

They'll just lie and say they stopped, divert the argument, etc.

The only way to fix the NSA is to use math-based security to render their data collection useless.

Wanna see a $2B+ facility dismantled? Use strong encryption and onion-routed networks. :winkwink:

they can decypher most of the methods u mentioned, thats why those facilities costed $2b+, they have backdoors on lots of encryption methods built in allready

Terrorists can walk across the Mexican border carrying the nuclear device.

NSA didn't stop the Boston bombing

It's like putting a complaint into the complaint box at Burger King because you found out that they shit in your burger. You keep eating there because it's the only burger place in town.

Your friends and family tell you it is ok because they shit in everyone's burger and that you should just convince more people to put complaints in the box.

You would travel somewhere else to eat at McDonalds to avoid eating shit, but that requires a permit and having naked pictures taken of you each time.

I was thinking the same. People want privacy and then send name, address and email to some unknown webside. Just shows stupidity has no limits.

Signed and passed around ... even though I don't believe any change will come out of it. :(

petitions do work, fyi, that's part of the process here folks. it's bizarre to me that there are peeps in this thread that start bullshit government threads bitching and whining about the government then post that petitions don't work.

jeez.

moreover, so the government is going to target this database and specifically watch/monitor/buttfuck without lube the people that put their name and zip code on the list?

some of y'all figured that?
