www.adultsexcontent.com

A friend informed me that my content was available for sale on www.adultsexcontent.com under Platinum X Europe studio and I'm turning to this board to say I own the rights to my productions. Platinum X was a dvd distributor and that relationship ended. I have never given or assigned any rights to re-sell my titles to this site. It's frustrating to see this and I'm not sure where to turn.

A representative from the site, Lykos, said he would remove the content.

This Custodian of Records is listed as:
ONLY AVAILABLE TO EUROPEAN CLIENTS
Platinum X Europe
2 Boulevard Bellechasse
94100 Saint-Maur
France

Th-th-th-that's all, folks. Thank you.

Unfortunately, you might have done when you signed the contract with your ex-distributor.

Contact AdultSexContent direct, they are easy to get ahold of and I am certain they will do right by you :)

Thanks for the replies. Actually, there was more drama involved than anyone knows. A lawsuit against Platinum X settled with the acknowledgement that I retained all rights to my self-financed productions. Confusion arises when my titles get mixed in with the company-owned titles and it's been an endless source of frustration. I just like to keep setting the record straight as I rely on my content for my living.

RE: Lykos. Yes, he's been very responsive to e-mails. I have had many people smile while telling me, "It's not me who's fucking you. It's this other guy." Like I say, I just like to set things clear. I don't screw anyone over and I don't like to be screwed over.

Lykos is one of the most honest guys in the biz, he will get it fixed for you for sure.

What he said.

Brandon Iron 07-03-2013 04:47 PM

Yes, I have to say Lykos went out of his way to help me. No complaints whatsoever. I am only interested in finding out how he thought he had the rights in the first place. Regardless, I didn't mean to disparage his name in any way. I only meant to give some sort of public notice that I haven't sold off my library yet.

Platinum X imploded years ago and memories fade with time. I care so much because I went all in on my content and assumed I was part of a group that would stick around a while.

Thanks, all.

I have the entire Platinum X and Red Light library. How can I tell which are your "self-financed productions"?

Lykos is one of the most responsible and fair persons I've met over the internet and one most fair-dealing dudes. Every job we did for him was well paid, even rewarded for some ideas.

So I am pretty much sure that he will meet up for you and do what ever it needed for problem to be solved.

Agreed. There are very few guys like Lykos left in this industry.

By that I mean, I am sure he will get this worked out for you and resolved. Not only is he a cool guy on a personal level, he's a professional to deal with and always goes the extra mile to make sure you're happy as a client. I am sure whatever the confusion, it's a misunderstanding or miscommunication by parties involved. I know he would not KNOWINGLY be looking to rip off anyone for anything.

:thumbsup

The titles I own that were distributed on dvd by Platinum X are:
I LOVE IT ROUGH vols. 1-3
TEN LITTLE PIGGIES vols. 1-9
A GOOD SOURCE OF IRON vols. 1-6
BAKER'S DOZEN vols. 1-9
INTENSITIES IN 10 CITIES vols. 1 and 2
BELL BOTTOMS vols. 1-3
SIX PACK
SPIT SHINED vols. 1 and 2
PHOTOGRAPHIC MAMMARIES vols. 1-5
50 to 1 vols. 1-4

The only reason I care so much is that I went all in on my content. I didn't borrow or rip anyone off and it amounts to what some people put into a home. It feels like I've come home and found someone changed the locks on the doors whenever someone claims to own my stuff. That's not right.

Brandon Iron 07-04-2013 12:52 PM

Yes, thank you for taking the time to help me, Lykos. You were very kind.

Why not making a custom deal with lykos to distribute your content ?

Brandon Iron 07-04-2013 06:18 PM

I'm open to any deals where I am not the guy cut out of them.
