How the fuck he held it together in that last game I'll never know. I completely lost track of the score and I only realized he'd won when he started celebrating!

If they honour him then they should honour his mum as well. Dame Judy Murray :)

I was surprised by many of Djokovic's shots. It seemed like he played a very uncharacteristic match. Way too many meaningless drop shots which bounced high and set up Murray for easy put-aways, plus far too many unforced errors. Just the opposite of how he played to get to the Finals, and how he has been playing of late.

Maybe playing a record long 5-set semi-final match two days before, and the heat, took their toll, however I hate to say it, but I have watched Djokovic play a lot over the past several years, and it was almost like he had an exceptionally bad day at the office as he appeared to nonchalantly lose (a double fault to lose a set...c'mon).:helpme

Oh well, congrats to Andy Murray for being the scrapper that he is, and persevering in straight sets over the #1 ranked player in tennis, to finally gain another win for the UK at Wimbledon, following a 77 year drought. Overall, it was a great day for tennis, with a storybook kind of ending. :)

Congrats to Marion Bartoli of France for her surprising out of nowhere victory to take the Women's Wimbledon title (she did not have to play any top 10 seeded players enroute to the title over an obviously rattled first time Finalist in Lisiki. .

The next few years in Men's tennis should be exciting as a changing of the guard starts to take place in the top ranks and the game gets even more competitive.

Tennis is a great game to play (for men and women of all ages). There are USTA tennis leagues almost everywhere in the USA:
