Unfortunately it's an amazing idea that will get squashed to death because people will be too afraid to eat it.

The danger with things like this is the long term effects if something goes wrong, especially if this stuff becomes commonplace.

BSE takes quite some time to manifest itself and has sometimes escaped detection using BSE detection methods. What if some small kink in the molecular structure of this lab grown meat wasn't discovered for 25 or 30 years ? By then millions of people could be left with problems.
