I thought it was my pc.. so i even got an SSD hard drive.. and ff still slow and buggy? time to switch to chrome?

SilentKnight 08-05-2013 02:23 PM

I use Chrome on my SGS4 phone - but still using Opera on the laptops.

KillerK 08-05-2013 02:29 PM

I use Chrome, it sucks too

They all seem to work really good until you've used them a few months.

Rochard 08-05-2013 02:32 PM

I've been Chrome for some time now. No problems.

Itchy 08-05-2013 02:33 PM

Prefer chrome over FF these days

candyflip 08-05-2013 02:37 PM

I haven't used Firefox in a while.

directfiesta 08-05-2013 02:42 PM

you switch say bye to the addons :2 cents:

slapass 08-05-2013 07:16 PM

Chrome still has less good stuff but ff uses a ton memory and is slow as heck so I switched. I check ff so I can check some stuff I can't do on chrome though.

Axel_Crak 08-05-2013 07:59 PM

Move to Chrome ...

It won't install on my SGS4.

Can't find the 3.5" floppy disk slot.

ErectMedia 08-05-2013 08:03 PM

Was rockin Firefox but after the latest update dog shit slow so just switched to Chrome this week. Uninstalled firefox and did clean install but same shit.

Spunky 08-05-2013 08:06 PM

Chrome has been a piece of shit lately, always stalling.I might even go back to IE

Jim_Gunn 08-05-2013 10:11 PM

I still love Firefox and use it on all my computers even my Android smartphone, all of which are synced together in terms of add-ons, bookmarks, history and other attributes. I have a plethora of useful plugins that I couldn't live without and even a custom script or two plugged into it from snippets of code that I found online. It has always worked quickly for me. I don't love the Android implementation all that much so I use the default Android browser mostly, but it's there if I need it. Chrome is pretty good too and has many similar plugins, but it would take a major issue for me to switch from FF at this point.

adultchatpay 08-06-2013 02:12 AM

I am using Chrome now for a long time now.

seeandsee 08-06-2013 03:32 AM

I already see i need quad core for modern browsers to work softly 100% of time

suesheboy 08-06-2013 04:12 AM

Built a super computer this year and FF still works like shit.

VERY disappointing. I am also pissed that there are still sites that only work with IE. What is that shit?

HomerSimpson 08-06-2013 04:23 AM

chrome is much faster...
but some things (like flash) still work better on FF...

bloggerz 08-06-2013 04:35 AM

No problem with chrome ever. Sometimes even with 200+ tabs open at the same session

adult-help 08-06-2013 04:59 AM

firefox definitely sucks much more, too bad they ruined the good browser

nico-t 08-06-2013 07:09 AM

still on firefox, each update it becomes slower, and to top it off since the last update flash crashes alot, which i have never experienced before. It sucks.

Evil Chris 08-06-2013 07:15 AM

Never liked FF.

3xmedia 08-06-2013 07:16 AM

I use FF and it sucks... tried Chrome and it sucked too :disgust

Choopa_Pardo 08-06-2013 07:17 AM

I go back and forth. Use firefox for a few months, get pissed at it, go back to chrome. get pissed at chrome after a few months, go back to firefox.

tgpsnstuff 08-06-2013 07:49 AM

always used firefox, never had problems.

For me it's the other way around. Flash crashes my chrome constantly to the point where I finally went into chrome's plug-ins and disabled flash altogether.

I still use chrome to browse GFY though.

CIVMatt 08-06-2013 08:08 AM

The best part about this thead is you're living one year in the past haha

Horny Dude 08-06-2013 08:57 AM

I'm using the best, IE 8. What is this browser Firefox you're speaking about?

_Richard_ 08-06-2013 08:58 AM

they're both starting to suck.

alex.missyouth 08-07-2013 05:25 AM

Still using FF.

NaughtyRob 08-07-2013 09:16 AM

Dumped FF years ago when it started to suck. Chrome FTW.

pornsprite 08-07-2013 08:54 PM

I use both Firefox and Chrome. Firefox came out with a new update today. Try out the update before you do anything else.

dillfly2000 08-07-2013 08:59 PM

So far my side by side comparison, chrome is faster on a dual core proc (old i know).
but chrome runs way smoother.

I think it has something to do with flash support. Firefox has been pretty buggy lately, but yet it's still my preferred browser, go figure.

Best-In-BC 08-07-2013 09:39 PM

Starting ? It was good in 2002, thats it, when Ie was lagging up a storm, then chrome came.

MagicWand 08-07-2013 09:47 PM

fuk them alll

facialfreak 08-07-2013 09:47 PM

If you want FF to run like a well-oiled machine .... disable ALL of your extensions, and start adding them one at a time - using it for 30 minutes with the addition of each new extention - until it starts running like shit again, and you will then know where the problem is ....

I see this all the time in my day job, and it is 100% of the time a rogue Firefox extension that is to blame ... :Oh crap

You're absolutely correct, as that is the best way to troubleshoot. But I have a dozen FF extensions all working fine with each other. Maybe I just don't have any that conflict.

Hello fellow hackers,

I hope you guys had a blast at Defcon partying it up and hacking all the things, because ready or not, here's more work for you. During the second day of the conference, I noticed a reddit post regarding some Mozilla Firefox 0day possibly being used by the FBI in order to identify some users using Tor for crackdown on child pornography. The security community was amazing: within hours, we found more information such as brief analysis about the payload, simplified PoC, bug report on Mozilla, etc. The same day, I flew back to the Metasploit hideout (with Juan already there), and we started playing catch-up on the vulnerability.

Chrome sucks as well, I prefer Opera :pimp
