network question... for music

what do I need to play the mp3's from my computer in other rooms... I have 4 wi fi points the house so wireless for sure... is there something like a 'bose wave' that will pull off a network?

I just put another computer in each area I want to be able to listen to the music in. Then connect the computer to whatever sound system I want. I keep itunes running on the server that has all the music on it then just access that on the other computers using the shared library feature of itunes. I also have a touchscreen in one area running a program called albumplayer.

They are all connected by cat6 because I also use them to stream hd video, but for music wifi would be fine.

Start using Spotify. All of the Mp3's you want to play are probably on there.

yeah Bose Wave or Sonos.
Or if you happen to use Mac you could just put AirPort Express in every room you want music. It has AirPlay and you can plug in an (active) speaker directly to the AirPort Express.

Find a SONOS dealer and make an appointment to hear them .....

Play some heavy 80's rock over them, and you will be instantly sold!

I think my SONOS sound perhaps better than my vintage Cerwin-Vega D-9s .... and they are the pride and joy of my hifi system!

Acoustic engineering these days is amazing!!

We have 3 Squeezeboxes in various spots around the house. You can sync them too.
