I'm asking because I can see that things are starting to dry up and I'll need to start making money in the next 6 months or I'm fucked.

I don't know what you CAN do.. I mean your skillset.

If I had a "bad situation", I would

- start doing designs for others + whoring myself on boards
- Set up a few blogs
- Check out mainstream (coupon sites, travel sites, basic mainstream affiliate stuff + SEM)
- Actually work instead of reading 9gag and jerking off on free tubes.
- See what kind of sites I could automate + bulk produce (tube + sponsor content etc)
- set up my own scripts to handle ads (openX-kind things), so I actually see OUTGOING clicks and can make my own judgement on eCPC and not rely of program's stats

'Back to the wall' is never a good setup to make good money, in any business not just adult. Get a regular day job, clear your head and financial situation, then come back to adult in 12 months part-time to re-assess.

I'm good at making something enticing everyday and submitting it everyday. Im more of a work horse than a design specialist. I do Dreamweaver, video editing and photoshop, enough to get buy. I like to keep my stuff simple anyways so it looks more amateur and easier for users to understand.
Im very good at writing text to entice people to buy, my text is pretty nasty and enticing

I'm not looking for a job, im looking to recover from eroded sales by switching to a new strategy.

I do not know how much money or time you have to invest in your "back against the wall" plan, but if you really need to turn shit around, I would suggest you get into mainstream email marketing. Most likely you will need to get someone to take you under their wing unless you have the resources to dedicate to learning. But you can easily get out of most 'back against the wall' holes in 15-60 days depending on how hard you hit it. It's not unrealistic to make $15-30k in a single month.

That being said, the barrier to entry can be fairly high. However, I would recommend you check it out. Anyone who's been a true webmaster with any level of SEO experience should excel in that marketplace. However, you want to make sure you read, read, and read before getting started and with any luck get someone to take you under their wing to show you the ropes.

While there are any number of other things out there, that is one of the easiest. However, considering the caliber of most people who post on GFY, you 'back against the wall' could be $1000.00 in mom's basement. In short, we would need more details.

what I would do, or anyone else would do, shouldn't be what YOU should do. I have a certain skill set, as do others, which will inhibit you from earning any incoming. For instance, Fris can design awesome WP themes and code some cool stuff up, while someone else could create a bunch of micro sites and SEO the shit out of them and earn adsense revenue.

the important question is what can YOU do? what skills do you have, or what do you know that others would like to know? if you have been making money with TGPs, right there is a skill that 90% of the others on here don't know how to do :1orglaugh

it comes down one question... are you looking for big bucks that come in once, or monthly recurring? Anyone will tell you that MRR is key, so I would look into something where you can get people paying you $99/mo. instead of a one time $500 charge.

Try some new things and set a time limit. If you think things will go bad in six months maybe give yourself a hard 3 to 4 month limit with a specific goal. If you don't reach the goal then you get a job somewhere.

There are too many variables to decide what will work for you. If you don't have any experience with anything else in IM besides what you do now it might be tough to make good money doing something else in such a short time. If you're going to attempt it I'd put as many irons in the fire as you can and then work with the ones which are getting the hottest first.

That is good advice. Steve Lightspeed said something similar a while ago which caught my eye and helped me.

I think it's really important to do something which will build. Not necessarily you building (as in working) but something which builds and accumulates revenue over time versus declines. You don't want to continually spin your wheels and get nowhere. You can't predict the future with certainty but you can come up with realistic projections and estimate what will happen. If what you're doing has little chance of building over time then it's probably a good idea to focus elsewhere and find something which can. You probably won't get rich quick but you'll have more than you did last year for sure. :2 cents:
