Tool for restoring lost index in AVI files
I have some avi files that wont play in wmp but they will play in vlc after it finishes building an index. It doesnt save the index though, the files are still unindexed and crash my transcoder (Video Charge Studio) when loaded. I think they are slightly corrupted, the length of the file does not display in Windows Explorer.
Is there a tool that can rebuild these indexes? |
try ffmpeg to convert that file to another file format, this may fix your file.
just an idea. |
Did you try the convert/save option in vlc? Not sure if it will work but give it a try

We use this small tool http://www.divfix.org/download.php
