i heard some shot requires 5 cameras or more.

do they use film ?/ digital media ?

There is no "Hollywood Camera". Different jobs call for different tools. Some are using Reds, Cine Alta, Arri, Black Magic... Camera and lens choice comes down to what you want from the image.
