anyone picking up a xbox one today?
 

I was thinking about it but there's not really a single game I want. Ryse got bad reviews and dead rising is really the only thing left that looks interesting.

i got one here for the office we've played a little COD, nothing crazy awesome there. The interface is fun, with voice commands and gestures and all. Launch games are always pretty underwhelming. The good stuff comes out in the spring.

You can play cod ghosts on ps3/xbox 360 ..

Can anyone share why you should get a xbox one or ps4?

This is the first console launch I'm not interested in. Not one game on either platform interests me.

I think I got old this year or something. I just noticed I haven't logged in to my PS3 in over 8 months. Man that's depressing.

Playstation has always had better and more exclusives -- and they will this generation also. It's what they do.

X-Box one users here been having major problems already.

Amazingly, I've don't play computer video games and have never played any video game console in my life aside from picking up a Wii controller a few times at someone else's behest - I've rarely played any video game since Asteroids, w-a-y back in the day (I used to love that game)... :)

I figure I'll wait for a bit before shelling out $600 on another game system that will most likely sit on my shelf with the others. They can work out the kinks and come out with a "slim" version and then I'll bite.

I grabbed a PS4 last week for my step son. I also got 3 Xbox Ones for my other three kids. Got one in store last night, they wouldn't let me get three. So, I came home and ordered two more online. With shipping, will be here early next week. Didn't order any games, though... i'll let the kids decide those.

The excitement is so overwhelming for both the Xbox and playstation that you can buy them in store without any problems. My tech geek friend and I went to check out the playstation on release expecting lines and it turned out no one seemed to give a shit.

I always wait for the game selection to catch up and make it worth it. Still not sure if I will go with the PS4 or Xbox One though if I upgrade.

yes, I went into a game shop here in the UK yesterday to buy a PS3 game, I was expecting the shop to be heaving but .. nothing.

Got the single one at Best Buy, and got the other two at the Microsoft Store online. They must spend a fortune on shipping. Ordered them both Friday about 1 AM (after getting home from Best Buy) and already received one of them this morning. Tracking for the other one shows Monday.

Where would this be? To my knowledge, they're both sold out just about everywhere.

That's what I thought. Next day shipping is expensive enough, but add Saturday delivery and it's even more. And, shipping was free.

Had nothing to do with any stars aligning. I just opened Zoolert when I got home from Best Buy and it said Microsoft had them on their online store.

Plenty of other places have had them on sale since Friday morning. You just have to grab one as soon as Zoolert lets you know. It checks every minute. That's how I grabbed a PS4, too. I picked up both an Xbox One and a PS4. I ordered them the day they were announced. I like the Xbox much better. Forza is amazing, and COD looks just like my PC version. I will pick up Ryse just because it looks so good, even if the game play is repetitive. :2 cents:

If you have an xbox360 or a PS3 and you are happy with the graphics then no need to move up, but I love tech and enjoy playing with the new toys. :thumbsup

Very smart! I guess you do, indeed, make your own luck. I had to do preorder all over the place for both console launches, it sucked. I haven't even messed with 'em.

I would have pre-ordered, but my kids didn't let me know until a couple weeks ago that they wanted them. By then it was too late.

Keep an eye on that site for hard to get stuff. iPads, etc. I buy a lot of stuff online. I even got the PS4 with no tax (and free shipping) on Amazon, so it saved me a whopping $28 over what I would have paid from Best Buy. :thumbsup

I have been a hardcore console gamer most of my life back since Super Nintendo and Sega were battling shit out. It's stupid to buy a console when they first come out. There is almost always a hardware issue they fix 3-6 months out from launch (ie original Xbox they went from Phillips to Samsung I think for the DVD drive because of burnouts as just one example, Sony has had similar issues). They also have a premium on them, they will knock the price down a level after the holidays as well. Best to just wait until they fix the problems, make it cheaper and come out with some good games. Hype is just a way to get the masses to pay extra for nothing... I mean 'sizzle' lol. :2 cents:

Best Buy is selling more Xbox Ones at midnight tonight. Some midnight doorbuster thing they're doing.

I've been enjoying both of the consoles a good deal. Sure I could wait to buy but I don't really care about saving $100. Technical problems can always happen but they both come with a year warranty I believe.
Launch games are a bit weak sure but I've had fun playing a bit of the random games offered. Ps4 has a lot of random indie and free to play games which have been fun to fuck around with.

I will wait a bit , but will pick it up soon :)
