Those stats aren't just "phones". That also represents tablets.

The "mobile" thing is huge. Nobody is buying computers these days.

Go to Best Buy or any big electronics stores.

There used to be big displays with hundreds of computers and monitors. Now there are a few laptops.

But there are huge displays of smartphones and tablets.

That's what people are buying.
They don't need computing power to do the things they do online.

Not only that...but if you want to stream them you need to do it with html5 coding as opposed to flash streaming.

I've got CM's trailers on her tour and members area doing that whenever a mobile device is detected (next step is to get the entire website "responsive")

And for hosted galleries...I started making the galleries with CSS3 / HTML5 responsive coding for the last couple of months.

Yea, I asked some of my friends and was amazed pretty much all of them now watch their porn on tablets or even their phone. Strangely enough though only around 15% of my total traffic is mobile or tablet.

No doubt it's the future, but this data came from PornHub. People WATCHING *FREE* porn on their mobile devices and people BUYING porn on their mobile devices are two different things.

We do a decent amount of mobile sales, but it is nowhere close to the majority of our traffic. I would expect PornHub and all the other free sites to have boat loads of mobile users. It's free and mobile optimized. Duh. Oh, yea, and it's free. But when the majority of them are buying porn, then it will be big news. In the meantime, freeloading on PornHub isn't really impressive data to me, as it costs them nothing to do so.

The biz has a lot of upgrades to do if they want these people to start buying in larger numbers. As it stands, the billing process is too complicated. I know I wouldn't want to type in all my date on a mobile form. No thanks. Quick SMS billing is what every billing company should have right now. It's shocking that they don't. IMHO, simply having responsive join pages isn't going to cut it.

The first company to get SMS billing for porn in the US will become very, very rich. I've been told it's the telecom industry holding back; not billers.

SMS billing is okay...but for the U.S. what I need is for Netbilling to make a RESPONSIVE gateway.

I use a merchant account for my type in traffic. So it's separate from NATS.

And I need Netbilling to create a responsive ONE page (right now it's 2 pages: 1 for username and password and the 2nd for billing info) billing gateway.

I wrote Mitch about it a couple of months ago. But so far, nothing has been done.

It's really killing sales these days because as DWB said...nobody wants to try and fill out a tiny form on a goddamned cell phone. lol

Dont hold your breath. We are actually moving away from a decent sms billing environment for adult. Mobile networks do not see billing for adult as part of their strategy. It is a PR disaster for them. The US is closing down it's premium sms business because fraud was endemic, and this was a system that did not even allow adult or any other high risk activity.

The US will NEVER have a mobile billing option for adult. Australia does not allow adult. germany only allows adult if you add their strict AV system. UK is good for sms but the general environment to adult gets worse on an almost daily basis.

A good wallet is the only way forward for easy mobile billing. A system that stores the users billing data a creates a one click process.

Got nothing but love for Mitch and net billing team but good god their join pages are horrible and they have stopped at least 3 clients from switching to them.

i still use a desktop to watch porn and will for forseeable future. i need a big screen.

I just bought a new desktop. Do 100% of any work on it. Only thing I use my phone for is playing music in the car, text and email. Will occasionally log on to something to check something but prefer to do any serious browsing/internet work from desktop at home.

So paranoid because of these NSA stories that I read that as "US watches the majority of phones for online porn use" sigh.

Porn sites which once used to innovate and pretty much invented 'online shopping' have been left behind now.

It doesn't matter how good the site is when viewed on tablets or mobiles, whether it's responsive etc, it all comes down to the actual joining process which is to difficult right now.
It's needs a central hub like the AppStore or Google play store or anything where your payment details can be stored and joining can be done in a simple click or two.
Why CCbill or epoch can't allow users to create accounts and have one click joins (even for one time payments) I have no idea but for sure would help.
Tokens and credits don't really work.

I heard the much hated .xxx guys where doing there own system which could have helped but that seems to be a non starter now as it's almost a year overdue with no more news on it.

As others have said, filing in name, addy, cc number etc is too inconvenient on a small screen and as the device is mobile, you may not even have your CC to hand at the point of purchase.
