Microsoft Outlook and spam

I set up Microsoft Outlook this week and am really liking it, but it is sending a huge amount of my e-mail to spam, that Gmail never had a problem with. I am clicking on "not spam", but messages from those senders still seem to be slipping through to spam.

How can I fix this? Aside from checking spam every day. Had I not been checking, I would have already missed out on a few important e-mails.

I found Thunderbird to be as bloated as Firefox, and Outlook is lightning quick plus lets you use Exchange for portable e-mail/calendar/etc.

Do you have Norton installed? Make sure you turn off any email protection on your end and make sure the emails are not being filtered at the host.

I went through this before and was extremely frustrated, so I switched to Gmail and never looked back.

Good luck!

Same here. You couldn't pay me to use Outlook, or any other email client these days.

Kaspersky. I'll look through the settings. Outlook has already saved me a lot of time. The workflow of sending e-mails, receiving e-mails, searching, etc is much better than Gmail. Not to mention the calender is much nicer as well.

I found spam settings. Just turned them down. Let's see.
