I got the first PayPal Epoch refund/chargeback
 

Since a few months, Epoch offers (to Euro merchants only) the paypal payment offer, displayed to Euro users only. This is very useful and I previously posted here that PayPal is doing very well for euro sales (nearly as much as mastercard!).

Someone here also noted "and to make chargeback it is perhaps more difficult than with cc". Today I got the first PayPal Epoch refund/chargeback.

11:24 AM: SALE EPOCH (PP) ******* : $10.00 (UK)
12:59 AM: EPOCH Refund ****** : $10.00

This was free user from 10 July 2012. So after 2 years he leechs, perhaps figure he can use paypal, decides he could deposit $10, but after just an hour he got big remorse and refunds. He did not spent the $10 in any tips, so we lost nothing.

So PayPal Epoch it can indeed be chargebacked. In fact the cam girls rarely accept PayPal payments for direct skype deals, forums are full of stories of PP refunds. Are we sure paypal refunds are more complicated than CC refunds?

"You can request a refund up to 60 days after you pay for your item."
"You can send refunds within 60 days of receiving a payment."

The only payment system with no refunds it is bitcoin...

Did you ask your customer why he charged-back his purchase?

you can do even worst if you use amx combined with paypal amx allows me 6 months to do a chargeback and paypal just passes those along.

No, he did not spent it anyway, and woud be an unsolicited email and esp UK guys can react very bad. If he had chargebacked few $100's after spending with models, sure he would get mail.

Got more Epoch Paypal refunds. I would say PayPal is officially not safer from chargebacks than CC.

How much of an increase in revenue have you noticed? Or are people just deciding to use Paypal instead of their credit card more often now?

Nice increase, the paypal sales for europe are much like mastercard ones for Epoch - of course can't beat Visa sales. A few of these people would not pay if there was no paypal option, it looks like those guys who have no credit card (greece etc.) or have one but paranoid of online forms (italy, germany etc.).
Note that I get also lots of prepaid vouchers sales (paysafecard, ukash etc.) via Epoch - to let europeans pay with plain cc it is not so easy - and they are used of those prepaid vouchers for online gambling/betting which is legal in Eu.
