Including a tour and members area With all the content ie text photos amd videos totally ready in advance but not in the system.

Depends how fast you work of course. Elevatedx is quick but if you are going to upload an 1080p source video and asked the script/your server to encode all the other files well that could take days. Each video can be an hour plus depending on how many other formats and sizes you want. Processing photo sets for the various sizes with zips is a few minutes each, that's all.

Other than that the scripts are instant. You have to customize for your look, make model profile photos, bios and all that.

dont muddle it up with all those variable details.
sure if theres 10000000GB video encoding in the sytem it will take longer...

i simply mean with a new install of either CMS how many hours approx for adding 1 tour area / 1 members area with unique design and 30 preprocessed videos and 30 photosets live. approx.

So many factors involved so it would be hard to give an exact time frame. If you let me know what pages you need for the tour and member’s area. I can get you a concrete time frame for a design and integration into ElevatedX. Generally if communication is quick with the design getting approved we can complete a design/integration in 10-12 business days. We have not worked with MAS much over the last couple years but the time frame would be the same.

Now now, no reason to be rude. That cruddy site is being migrated into EX, MAS, Carma, or similar shortly so I have been looking into initial setup & timeframes. There's not a huge difference in the workflow between them so the variables are mostly going to be on your end, rather than the "vs" scenario in your OP.

ELX- hands down the fastest, the time frame to run all the sets you want with text and that is about 2-4 hours depending on how many types of video you want transcoded

I would think less than a day if everything is ready to go, depending on your upload speed, server, etc etc.

When I do a site the Tour takes the least amount of time (naturally) while the Mem Area can be up to a week. But we're talking maybe 250 videos (SD) and about 5k photos. My newest HD sites took about five days EACH (4 sites total) to upload.

When I'm on my game I can crank out a new website, including processing, in about 3 weeks. Now, with so much to do, it can be done in about 5-6 weeks. But that also means integrating the new site into an existing network.

(I know none of this answers your questions really, but it's Friday night on Valtenine's Day so I gotta amuse/abuse myself in some way.)

What about all the members and tour templates ?

If you have a header for the members area and know css and smarty very well you could have something nice in a day or two. Tours are a little more tricky, not so much the "tube" tour more the episode tour. All in all you could have something up in a week but you will be changing things for weeks. Hope that helps you.

I would need to see the design and html if it's done to get you a time frame. Typically if the CMS is all installed on the server and html is done it would be 5-7 business days for the integration. Hope that helps :thumbsup

Everyone in the this thread is a lot slower than I expected. Something to be said for being a miracle worker :pimp

There are a lot of factors. When it comes to adding content/data to the system you can do it by hand and enter 1 update at a time or you can use an Excel CSV file and do a bulk import which is much faster. Of course this assumes you already have info like update titles, descriptions, keyword tags, model names, etc. entered into a spreadsheet.

As for the content processing, photos are fast. Video is real time but your server will dictate how many videos you can encode at a time. It's 4 threads per processor so for example a quad core server will encode 16 videos at a time. If you have a lot of video you can add more encoding servers even on a temporary basis to handle more load and get things done faster.

If you do the work manually you can easily add your 30 sets/vids in 1 day. Then you'll be waiting on encoding which depending on size/length and server could be just 1-2 days.

Total build time mostly depends how fast you work.
