If Humans had never existed, what would be the dominant race on earth?
I don't mean all humans died tomorrow - What would take over. But had we never evolved, who / what would have taken our place, as 'Top Dog' on Planet Earth?
Dolphins (After Growing Legs) - Dogs? - Other? :helpme |
rats!

Poo dinosaur

I know this is hypothetical, but dolphins been here millions of years, they were never going to dominate dry land, but maybe in another 60 million they might be up to snuff, if anything it would be a orangutan, since they are the only animal to actually speak with sign and create new word to describe new things, to me that's senstion, and they are that.

I don't think humans are the head honchos anyway. I think rocks are the top of the pile. |

Humans are evolved primates. One certainty about evolution is that its impossible to predict what species of animal might replace humans. All animals are adapted to their environment. Environmental change is what almost always drives adaptation (such as walking upright). A likely guess would be that eventually be another primate. What separates humans from apes are a few massive leaps in brain development.

If humans had never existed there would be no dominant species today.
But 10,000 years from now... http://jnellavision.files.wordpress....f-the-apes.jpg |

Technically there would be NO dominant race if humans never evolved it would be a different species....
So its a trick question....I did like Puerto Ricans though LOL |
Big cats, alligators, bears, wolves. The usual suspects would still be top predators. No domination because none desire it.

Probably butterflies and worms.

I think rats and mice only thrive because of humans, without humans they would have little to eat and would just be prey like rabbits. |
It would be ants

those monkeys in the rain forest that gang up and kill other animals

Gorillas, chimpanzees, and all the other human-like shitfuckers. They are the only ones that can use tools, no?

Do you mean dominant like able to wipe out other species? Leave the atmosphere? Or just the top predator?
Perhaps a new dominant species would exist if human ancestors hadn't beat out it's ancestors. |
Cannibal Strawberries of course.
